  • **HELP IDENTIFY SUSPECTS**
The Fort Worth Police Department is seeking the public's help to locate two suspects involved in an ongoing cable wire theft investigation from Labor Day Weekend.
On Saturday, August 31, 2024, at approximately 8:30 p.m., two suspects entered a business park in the 4000 block of E Loop 820 S in east Fort Worth and attached a chain to the bumper of their truck to a long section of AT&T wire causing a transformer to explode. Several homes nearby lost power.
The next day at around 1 p.m., the suspects returned to that business park in the same truck. One suspect was caught on surveillance video cutting segments of wire with a cutting tool. A second suspect helped load the wire into the bed of the truck.
The video released by the department on RUclips shows both incidents.
Anyone with information regarding these suspects or about this case should contact Ofc. Wright at 817-392-4614.
Tipsters can also remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers of Tarrant County at 817-469-8477.
The Fort Worth Police Department wants to remind the public of the importance of reporting unusual activity immediately to authorities. It can help stop crime and keep our communities safe.
