I am not picky, but this was one of the few songs I hold close to me, with the 5FDP version got me into their music, and I listen to the original at least 4 times each month. I was looking for covers to use in school presentations, gaming, and alternate future mapping videos, and I stumbled across this. Okay. Now listen to some covers by Pellek(Swedish power metal artist. He has smooth vocals that are basically angelic). Nightwish(there's been 3 different female singers. Tarja had a very classical opera voice, Annette had a more pop rock sound, and Floor has the forbidden love child of the two previous singers and her voice calls fallen warriors to Valhalla). Overall though they have the sound of a heavy metal symphony/opera. Epica which is a heavy metal opera. There's a strong female vocalist who can belt it out and a few guys singing ontop of the backup choir. Krypterika is another excellent metal band with a female vocalist with strong presence, but the sound is more like a vengeful metal ballad. And Within Temptation. An excellent band that has a more pop rock metal hybrid sound with some synthesizers and again, a great female lead. For others try searching for "Power Metal", "Speed Metal", or "Symphonic Metal". These all tend to have a more clear and smooth sound, rather then the aggressive and often gravelly sound you may be familiar with. You can thank me later. 😉
