Good video. Just bought one today - yet to be run. The main reason is that I live in the North East and so the model will be a realistic addition to my layout. Also, like you, I need to re- engineer the layout; in other words, rip it up and start again!
Brilliant review here peter, I have had one of these now for about two weeks, I originally got mine from the Doncaster BRM show, the version I have is the regional railways one, to be honest the weathering in person doesn’t look to bad, I would say on mine it’s quite a light weathering on the body, the model itself does have some differences to the realtrack one for example the chassis is different, I’m very happy that bachmann have done these models, I have been after a realtrack one for a long time but you just don’t see them and when you do they are expensive so I’m in full support of bachmann and hope they will bring more liveries out in the future, would love if they did one in northern livery.
Excellent review of the BR Class 143 ‘Pacer’ Peter 👍👍 It surprising to see a OO gauge model of these units as it is everyone least favourite train on the rails due to many issues of these units when they were in service with different rail franchises. But never the lest it is still a good model and something I be interested to buy one day.
Great review Peter of a much maligned multiple unit in model form. They are deserving of being available in model form even if they are disliked just like Thompson's A2s. Stay safe and take care best regards Gary.
Im looking into buying the west Yorkshire metro pte 144, i want a wypte dmu but the 158 it a bit to long but this is perfect, would you recommend it overall?
@@class47peter that's good to hear, the most I've ever spent on a model was £99 so this is a big step up for me, but I'm still going to buy it, thanks for taking the time to respond
I've heard different things. Believe that they had tweaked the tooling and isn't exactly the same as Realtracks. I could be wrong though, just what I heard

Cheers David, if Bachmann do more I'd like a pristine Reggie Rail one. If not then either Wessex Trains or BR Provincial

Cheers Gary, glad you enjoyed
Agreed
I was looking these only yesterday. They look good. It was that colour too
I do like that livery , but I think that would be the only reason for getting one . Think I’ll resist this one

I would recommend it overall yes, coupling both units is fiddly, but would still recommended it

Wot is the provenance of this model defnately not Bachmann Realtrack orig I believe was Rapido tooling...did Bachmann tweak the tooling... for EFE
