I remember last year I hit 1600 with no opening theory. Now I got back in chess about 1 month ago and I'm having trouble going over 1000 with opening knowledge 😂
I can't believe how some chess players are so obsessed with their elo and scared of losing it when it's literally only up to you whether you win or not. I say this as someone who has been obsessed over elo for 8k hrs in a 5v5 game
Play lots of games of chess at 15/10. Looks for checks, captures, and attacks before each move. Don’t be afraid to lose. Analyze every game immediately afterwards, looking for the 2 or 3 strong moves and 2 or 3 mistakes. Play more games.
Heres the secret, you cannot climb that fast. Playing and analyse your games and tactics is all you need to do when you are low rated. And yes learn some basic game knowledge and a bit of openings.
Thank you for your support! Regarding your question, I use AI to create an outline for my script as my starting point, then I correct it for my own needs to make it better)
Thing is, no one improves "fast" unless you are exceptionally talented, you still need months of practice. Also- endgame is very critical for improvement. Honestly, its the hardest for me since you got to be very precise.
@@MelloRoadToMaster You're the one who put "get better fast". Now you're saying no one improves fast unless they're exceptionally talented. So either your addressing only exceptionally talented people, or make your mind up.
@@yuchoob Actually you are partly right, almost anyone with a normal mind can reach 2,000 elo "fast" with hard work. But only exceptionally talented people can go from 2000 to master "fast" and of course insanely talented to be a Grandmaster "fast". I hope you get what I mean.
Really loved this video. Very easy advice to follow and I’m confident it will help me improve.
Glad you liked it!

openings are always fun & of course it’s the beginning of the game. i got to 1500 by only playing the same opening for years…

"After every move, ask yourself, 'What is my oponent threatening?' before you move." Eh?
He’s saying double check what your opponents can attack before you move to minimize blunders.
How to get better at chess FAST: Read a book about endgame strategies. 🤦
