Peder is incredible for setting an example of positive sport horse welfare, with his stable and paddock set-up. Plus his barefoot philosophy, show jumping barefoot and winning Olympic gold, keeping his horses sound with Scoot Boots during train is so nice to see! 😊 🥇 cheering him on!

I was training for him one weekend as a 12 years old and he remain the same. I still remember it like it was yesterday. He was such a kind soul and had a lots of patience, love for us kids. I’ve been following him since then. I’ve been working in a few stable in my life and I haven’t found anyone with a deep heart like him. I keep on looking. I don’t want to give up. I guess if you’re nice with people you’re nice with animals as well. It’s goes hand in hand. I wish him all the best in life.

He is a true horseman, many generations of good horsemen. It takes another level of dedication to reach this level of showjumping. Passion, true passion and dedication, and it is a family affair, without his family backing him it would have been tough for him. x

He's such an inspiration; from the care of his horses, to his training and prep, to his course walk, to his gracious sportsmanship and personal accountability, and of course to his incredible riding. If you are a young person in equestrian sports, this is the type of person you want to emulate, for yourself, for your horses and for the sport.

I have heard the channels talk about cruel practices used in both international dressage and show jumping but having 18 year horse still competing at a high level I think shows a dedication to horse welfare both physical and mental

I think a lot of those content creators are after clicks and don't really know what is going on between these top-level riders and their horses.

Is it just me or does he only care about the competition 🙄. Would have loved to see him give his horse more credit.

It's just you. The person who cut this clip together made it about the competition. And I hear mr Fredricson talk about what he SHOULD have done to give his amazing old horse the deserved victory. He tells us in detail how he did not give his horse the best possible round. Totaly self deprecating. His love for the horse and respect for the horse's prowess is obvious for anyone to see.
