  • With a cold front moving into Boulder Jared and I headed south to check out a trail neither one of us has ridden before. While not obviously technically demanding the long miles of uphill and pea gravel over flat bench cut turns kept us in check while we had our fun.

Rode this with my buddy Phil on opening day of the trail, gosh, about 5 or 6 years ago. We started just shuttling it from Reynolds’s to Waterton Canyon. Makes for a fun 23 mile ride. The climb up out of South Platte along the Colorado Trail is brutal but fun. Great video.

I’ve grown to really like this trail. Mostly when I know BC is going to be busy. It can get loose so low tire pressure, but there are some great views if you know when/where to look. Pikes Peak, Cathedral Spires, and the meandering NF as you’re coming back to the trailhead.

Nice vid. You shouldn’t worry about bleeping your cuss words out. It makes it more real.

Haven't been here, how's it compare to Buffalo Creek?

+James Stoup surface is like Nice Kitty without any of the technical rock bits. Not nearly as crowded but not as much fun.

When are you getting a dropper, bro? Life altering...

+Matthew Walker I actually had one for the first half of the summer and didn't like it. Switched back to my static post. I know most people like them better but there are a few of us that don't.

Legit status. I saw this guy going down Belcher at White Ranch, dropper all the way up. Helped him get it down and his mind was blown at the bottom.

Do you recommend starting from the south end or north. Looks like you started from the south.

We did start from the south end, makes the ending primarily downhill which I enjoyed.

Nice! That's about what I clocked it at as well. How'd you like that climb back up from the road?
