I visited there in March 2014 - such a fascinating city!
I'm from New Orleans and was a 14-yo high school student there in 1980. Highlights for me were getting mugged by thugs on the way home from school, and the Saints going 1-15 (with the "Aints" bagheads and all)
You ain’t have yo knife?
What HS did you attend ?
I was born a year later 1981 😊
@@Ebklifestyle He won't answer that he's full of crap. That jerk is just a troll...
In June 1981 on a family vacation westward bound back to California on I-10 freeway.
This 16 year old ask his parent to stop by the city New Orleans, Louisiana as we were approaching the city's outskirt. My mom said 'it's like another Oakland, California scenario' at the time. Simply 'Nada"!
My city. I was 1 and 2 years old in 1980. I wish my mom was here so I can show this to her. She was 19 and 20 in 1980 #charitybaby 😊
Awesome!
This is a really vintage video how long have you been having this video 🥰🥰......I came to this video to look at all the cool classic antique cars ..... do you have some videos from Lafayette like this
My grandmother used to work in that Woolworths. She was a buyer in the drapery department. She collected a pension from them until the day she died, which was 2010.
Shout out to my hometown! Lassiez Le Bon Temps Rouler.👏👏👏
And that was the last time anyone drove the speed limit on the Causeway Bridge.
I'm thinking about moving back to my birthplace some family still there but you know how it is they never leaving.
Love my City 💜
Crime riddled dump. But if your into murder, rape and car jacking yea it’s your city.
My city!!!!
I go look at old youtube videos from other states in the U.S. from the 70's and 80's; and they look ghastly, horrible and just a terrible life. 😭 Then I come back home to videos of the South, of Louisiana, or Texas and it's a completely different world. the kind of world that I remember, we didn't have such property as in New York and Chicago. I remember my childhood in Louisiana being rich, and full of life, and full of culture, good food, music, art, and tradition. I guess that's why I never left Louisiana😂... the rest of the world looks just plain sad😂
Cars going slow cause overdrive wasnt out yet . they were turning 3500 rpm at 60 eating up the gas!!!
Not as much crime too.. ugh!!!
Spoiled by inappropriate music.
Not too many crackheads
Like ya moms right
