Mel & Chris Brown: "Passing the Baton"

In December, 2024, legendary Portland, OR drummer Mel Brown shared the stage with his talented son, drummer/saxophonist/pianist Christopher Brown. Part of the fun came when Mel "passed the baton" to Chris in mid-tune--a time-honored technique that high-caliber drummers are able to pull off with no disruption to the groove whatsoever!
