Great video to see. Like the style of the Ford. It will be interesting to see an uncamouflaged T7. Really hope you guys develop a hightop roof as that is what I would be looking at moving forward for the new platform. Thanks 👍
Nicely done Owen. Looking forward to seeing how Jerba makes use of those extra cm! I guess the big question is how much more it will cost to have a VW badge on the front!?
Hi, thanks for the video, any indication of which month the ‘spring’ launch will be for the new VW version? and Will you have a ford kitted this year out for rental? thanks
I am afraid with large manufactures they don't give exact dates that far ahead but keen subscribed as as soon as they give any idea we will let you all know.
It’s going to be interesting to see how the T7 is received as VW has been a very popular vehicle for many years. Has anyone got any ideas about the engines that will be fitted. I believe the current ford diesel that is referred to as “wet belt” seem to have a bad reputation.
The wet belt thing is one of those things people of heard of but don't actually know anyone it happened to. The van just needs to be serviced when recommended and won't be a problem. The issue is very old vans in the past not ever being checked.
There are the 2.0-litre units with a choice of 110, 136, 150 and 170hp power outputs. Later this year or at the start of next they will release the 2.5-litre petrol engine with a 65kWh battery hybrid and a full EV.
Volkswagen tried that with the id Buzz. They couldn't get the weight down below the 3.5 Tonne licence limit, with all the battery weight added to the camper van as fitted out. This vehicle is heavier still. They could put less batteries in it though, to save weight, but most people normally camp outside a 50 miles range limit lol.

They are going to increase the weight limit that your license is allowed to drive to 4.25 tonnes. They have already agreed in Europe and there is legislation going through parliament in the UK greenfleet.net/features/26102023/changes-425-tonne-electric-van-operating-rules#:~:text=The%20government%20has%20announced%20changes%20to%20the%20operation%20requirements%20of,extra%20weight%20of%20the%20battery.
@@JerbaCampers That's good news. EV vehicles are in there infancy, every man and his dog are working on improving battery chemistry. Looks like solid-state is the Holy Grail. I've driven the larger electric transit, so nice after all my years with diesels.
I wouldn’t care if it’s badged Ford or VW…..looks good!
Great video Owen! Keep up the good work 😊 wish you all the best from Norway 🙌👍
Thank you for your kind comments

Interesting, but why the background music running under the narrative. So distracting !
Nice video mate 👏

That is something we don't know yet but will let you all know as soon as we can
Hadn’t realised VW and Ford had got together for new versions of their vans. I’m assuming this is new? Looks good though.
Yes asolutely

I don’t understand why it takes VW so long to release the T7. Everyone knows it’s coming and demand is huge

Engine line up in the Ford? Another option for buyers

@@JerbaCampers interesting, must look at the 2.5 l, thank you.
What are the engine options? Will there be a Hybrid or better still a full EV ?

I think the wheels look far to small for the arches
Grrr - 5.8 square metres, not 5.8 metres squared - completely different!
haha
