When you hear Woorim’s contribution to the original you will see it as an absolute BONUS and will appreciate the shock value as Will many who have yet to watch that version. 😊Maybe you can do a reaction to their original performance as a quartet….I am one of many people around the world who believes that 2 great versions of a song can coexist!😅 This was the 1st time they stepped on a very frequently visited IMMORTAL SONGS 2 stage without their youngest, basso profundo voice Ko Woorim, who is serving his mandatory military service until 19th May 2025. About 11 months of an 18month term left. So, as of November 20th 2023 Forestella has been quite active as a trio …this song was 1 of 2 they performed live on 6th Dec 2023, but which was aired on KBS on 6th Jan 2024. They also performed a fantastic version of Queen’s SHOW MUST GO ON on this special non-competing Immortal Songs 2 episode: KIM SOO-CHEOL and NEW friends where Forestella and others were guests that he’d either not played with or met before. He is a legendary 67year old guitarist, yes 67!…known in S. Korea as LITTLE GIANT. When you do react, you will see what I mean….the Queen song collaboration was fire as was the trio’s interpretation of that song.

Gracias por reaccionar a Forestella, allí falta Woorim (bajo lírico), ya que está en el servicio militar, te recomiendo "Hijo de la Luna" donde canta los cuatro. En esta versión el que comienza cantando es Kang Hyungho o Pitta como también lo llaman, él es (contratenor y soprano), el que le sigue es Mingyu (Líder del grupo y tenor ligero) y el último de la fila es Bae Doo hoon (tenor-baritono).

Yes, a stunning reinterpretation of this classic. They have, as always, kept the essence of the original, and yet this "more classic" version is sooo different and brilliantly arranged. But it is also a recently "updated reissue". Since Ko WooRim the bass is currently doing his military service, the guys can currently only perform as a three-piece. They had to modify the song, and they did a really pretty good job. (However, with "Bass" the song is even more impressive, you should definitely listen to the othermore eerie version too).

Sí son 4, pero el bajo Ko Woo-Rim está haciendo el servicio militar que en CdS es obligatorio y los llaman hasta los 28 y pueden ser abstenidos por ser mejores en alguna materia, científica, artística o deportiva, pero él quiso servir a su patria. Esta canción está también en cuarteto te la rerecomiendo!

Hola me gusta escuchar tus reactions, en este video Kowoorim, los tres muchachos son increibles, pero falta el Bajo. Hay otra version del año 2017 donde cantan los 4. Ahorita Kowoorim se encuentra haciendo sus servicios militaries, todos los hombres de sucorea tienen que servir por 2 años.

Still an incredible job by these three when viewed dispassionately and without preconceptions… those people around the world who watched this performance and discovered Forestella for the first time in 2024 when this was aired on 6th January were understandably blown away. Because of this very performance, they discovered Forestella quartet too! …so I would give credit where it’s due. Unsurprisingly, these 3 amazing musicians, who are working so hard to keep the Forestella name up in lights in an impossible competitive S. Korean music market, ALSO watch these reaction videos and read comment sections….they have mentioned a few times about what reactors and fans are saying, so they are not clueless about comments that are being made. Woorim also has access while in the military when he is on leave you know, and has requested via official messages to fans to keep supporting his brothers since before entering and during his service so that tells me he is aware of some fans’ disparaging or discouraging words. What hurts MinGyu, HyungHo and Doohoon hurts Woorim too, even though that’s not the intent by fans. He even uses part of his leave time to physically attend their performances when they coincide….they have been a tight-knit brotherhood that have cemented their friendship through many highs and lows into their 7th year together since 2017. They do critique each others’ performances but it’s done with love and kindness. This performance is truly amazing when listened to without prejudice and when it is accepted that Forestella is a trio right now and that it is performed by 3 incredible vocalists who have had to learn a new arrangement of their own extremely difficult quartet interpretation of Hijo De La Luna . They have had to step on that Immortal Song stage for the first time without their youngest there with them …can you not imagine the emotions they were feeling that day in front that audience…with everyone’s differing expectations and some who profess to be supporters even hoping they’d disgrace themselves without Woorim? I read comments where people were outraged that they were even daring to perform without Woorim! Some even upset because they were spending time catching up on delayed solo work…How ridiculous😂. In this industry, and even more so in the highly competitive Korean music industry, where even BTS members frantically produced content for when they had to enter the military, if you stop performing or producing content…it is considered professional demise. Forestella were on a heightened momentum til Woorim’s enlistment. Must all activity stop while fans mourn Woorim’s absence due to fulfilling a mandatory duty all Korean men must fulfil?! lThis song and THE SHOW MUST GO ON showed what they were capable of and produced quite a reaction among other viewers and music lovers all around the world. This recently new reactor here who has reacted to Forestella also as a quartet still thought these 3 did an amazing performance….and he’s only known them for 5 minutes and is gushing over this performance, and yet some Forestella fans can’t bring themselves to be kinder in expressing themselves. It is possible for 2 versions of a song to coexist and be appreciated for what they are in their individual offering. For those arounf]d the world and in S. Korea who are yet to hear the version with Woorim, it will be an absolute BONUS with some shock value to hear his contribution in their original version. Surely a nicer way than implying a lacking in the trio’s performance…words do have impact
