Mount Kimbie has released album the same day as Khruangbin. Today I chill, swim and sunbathing on the beach listening this beautiful music. You reminded me ten years ago when we went on your gig at Electronic beats festival 🎉 Thank you Mount Kimbie ❤
Watching their evolution has been so interesting. They're up there with Radiohead for their willingness to switch things up every record. Very inspiring
as someone else said, this album is one of a kind. but not only the album. mount kimbie overall. saved me so many times, in very different periods of my life, i cant find the words to thank you. forever cherished and much love from slovenia
Intro is really precious... The trail feels so nostalgic, when the kickdrum and backing kicks in it feels like PS1-2 era FF Battle Theme but "make it more krautrock/shoegaze"
Finally. It is here. I am grateful to mount kimbie for their continued exploration of sound. One of the great joys in my life. Beautiful album. Well done
It started with "Dumb Guitar". On my first listen it didn't appeared to catch too much of my attention. Then I listen again and when I realized, I was listening to it for weeks, on repeat. As the following songs came the same happened. Why am I so attached to this sound? These lyrics, I don't even know what they really mean. But each time I listened I could understand them better. I didn't know too many songs from the band before this album but that blend of guitars and voices, the keyboards, all of it. It made me count the days for the release and when it finally came I waited for the perfect time on my day just to sit and relax, and give all my attention. Man, it was so good. Thanks a lot for this. It will be one of those albums that you carry till the end of time.
thank you so much for making music and sharing this with the world your band means the world to me and i couldnt feel more grateful to be listening to this on a cold morning on april 5th 2024
Ngl I hated (with a passion) 'Dumb Guitar' when it came out. Maybe it was bc i'd recently gotten hooked on 'Crooks & Lovers' and definitely bc 'Carbonated Water' is one of my favorite songs of all time lol. I just couldn't get behind the newer, more indie-rock-esque sound. Yet when the album finally released, I instantly fell in love with it. Listening to 'Love What Survives' definitely made the sonic shift more easy to swallow, and I'm so happy to have this record in my life. Can't wait to bump this every time the sun's out
I love Mount Kimbie so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so much.
I loved Mount Kimbie with their first album, their electronic style was so innovative in that time, now it seems an english band like we can listen everyday
I see - i see, You were in my hometown of Joshua Tree. Seriously awesome. 💚 Edit : please have a show at Pappy and Harriet's someday. Incredible venue, inside and out🥰
The wait was worth it, this album is amazing. Thank you for continuing to explore and push your sound, I’ve loved watching and listening to the evolution

C'est vraiment un très bel album, beaucoup de musicalité...qui me fait un peu songer à Sonic Youth. Remerciements.
