I really like that Dream started out with such a bright and young concept for their debut back in 2016 (with another food related song called Chewing Gum). They were aged 14-17 at the time of debut and were making music for their peers. It's so icky when really young idols are doing a concept meant to appeal to adults. Dream has gone through so much together and their range is really wide. They totally nail concepts like this one and also do amazing ballads and really intense upbeat dance-focused stuff and much more mature concepts too. I call them my beloved nephews and it has been such a joy to watch them grow as people and as performers over the last 8+ years.
Congrats on figuring it out! It was so good to see DREAM remake this one and as you say, they did a great job with it. DREAM's debut song was bubble gum with some rap by Mark, but it's a great, catchy song regardless. After that, their sound matured little by little until their 5th MV called GO. This is where 127 and DREAM switched concepts for just that one time. 127 did some sweet R&B and DREAM went hard. I love the creativity of all of NCT. Thanks for the reaction! ❤
When Dream started, most of them were really really young teenagers, you will die when you see them in their first video - so bubble gum pop its called Chewing Gum!
I would recommend Hot Sauce, Glitch Mode, Beat Box, ISTJ and my most favorite favorite kpop song of all time out of all the artists is Broken Melodies by NCT Dream!
A new 5th gen boy group under Hybe called Boy Next Door has started out being more "bubble gum/catchy". Their debut song is But I Like You. Its actually a really great video and song .
Glad you reacted to this version too after the H.O.T one
I recommend HOT SAUCE & SMOOTHIE since you like ateez
Thanks for the recs!

Dream definitely used to be more bubble gum pop but their sound has definitely matured over the years.
Nct dream smoothie is the best one from them in my opinion and the most dark song by them
Thanks for the rec!
Lol, the original Candy came out in 1996. They recreated the dance and video almsot exactly the same!
