As a former SB the ERLC should be disbanded. It is a waste of money and shows how the bigger an organization gets the more conflicts and loss of oversight will happen. In this case, more liberalism.
Exactly! I did a deep Insta dive one time and found a lot of fishy things about ERLC that was hidden in plain sight.

My Mother's church voted to leave the SBC. My church is still a member but I have questions.
The issue for me with her when she was “tough on crime” was that she kept people behind bars after their release date just to use them for cheap labor for California, she also refused to let certain evidence in on a case that proved a man’s innocence, just so she could have more convictions on her record. That is beyond crooked, and I do believe that is something we should all care about. We want our justice system to truly be just, and impartial, not built on people just trying to build their portfolios on convictions that are wrongfully done. Thats what happened with President Trump, and he actually has the money to fight corruption like that, but most regular people don’t.

This SBC drama has driven my husband and I to seek another church. There is another SBC church in our community that we really like, but we have an issue with any of our money going to these areas. It is so frustrating!

Thr trouble with that is that everyone interprets the Bible differently and this is why there are so many denominations and people have such different beliefs. They all read the same texts and all get different ideas. Different people put a different hyper focus in different areas and make it say what they want it to say.
@@ekatrinyaI am shocked by the interpretation of friends and family that pick one thing out of the Bible and focus on that. Many focus on love and kindness and forget this is just one piece. So those people are all in for Biden because in their opinion he is more kind. 😳

@@ekatrinyayes, but most Christians aren’t even reading the Bible. They might read a verse of the day, or read just enough for a weekly Bible Study. I used to do that and had no discernment. There are people in powerful positions in the church who teach it incorrectly, and most of the sheep don’t know the Word well enough to see the error.

I have never in my life been more disappointed in any "Christian" leader than I was in Russell Moore, years ago. I used to look up to him, I followed him, I wanted to model my walk with the Lord like him. Years ago, he seemed to set the perfect example on how to navigate being a believer and being so interested and semi involved in the political landscape. Maybe I had him on a pedestal that he did not belong.. I thank God I realized it when I did. But it devastated me. I doubted my own heart when it came to Christian leaders. Thank God I have a brother who is involved on a certain level, and he is rock solid. Because these people don't realize that they have a certain amount of influence on people. I wrestled with alot during that time, even getting to the point of thinking that you can't trust anyone in Christian leadership. And what an idiot I was to be fooled by him. Oh how I miss my Dad! Anyway, just had to get that off my chest. I actually kept it to myself all these years, until now. It still makes me cringe a little bit when I think about it. But one things for sure, I will always keep my guard up around those kind of people.
All that being said, Eric Metaxis is the REAL DEAL. And I have the utmost respect for him. I believe I'm safe watching his content.

When Biden announced her as his VP candidate, my mom said that he would cancel his next election campaign to force her into presidency. It's remarkable to see exactly what she worried about coming to fruition.
On a news story from today when Biden was asked at the airport why he resigned the campaign he looked stunned and confused. He did not respond to the question.
I wondered if he even knew he resigned. It certainly did not look like he knew anything about it.

Allie Beth, I love the admonition that you gave to Trump. I know that you and I cannot be the only ones who feel this way. I kept thinking the night of the conference that if Trump got up like he usually does after going through almost dying, then I would have been very disappointed. I liked his speech, so I had hope, but then how he has been talking since, and what I see on True Social, I am left very upset and disappointed, Like you, I want to hear from him and see from him the humility etc. I know we are talking politics, but he doesn't have to say all that he says. I don't think that he conducts himself like he really wants to be president of all of America, as he said in his speech. That's what scares me about the election. God forbid the Dems stay in power! When the Southern Baptists of Maplewood Baptist Church were attitudinally related to Concordia Lutheran Church, how do you think of the competition of "liturgical east" directions of the architectural designs of the buildings contributed to the hostility of the buildings for each other? I ask this about two buildings in the St. Louis suburb of Maplewood, Missouri. There was a flood tide that filled in several houses downhill of the Laclede Forest Apartments, a real gully washer. Were the filled basements about more Christian thoughts because they were wetter buildings? I think the owner of the buildings would be a bit put out over this issue.

Dont worry. The ERLC bureaucracy retracted it: "(ERLC) announced Monday evening that its president Brent Leatherwood suddenly lost his job-only to retract the statement the next morning.
Trustees stated on Tuesday that the decision had been made without the full involvement of executive committee leadership and that Leatherwood “remains the President of the ERLC and has our support moving forward.”

1:01:06 It’s not the fact that she jailed people for using marijuana, It’s the comment she made that she often smoked marijuana back then.(And listened to Tupac while getting high in an attempt to pander to the African American voters, which is really funny because Tupac wouldn’t be a thing for about 7 more years! 😂😂) This was at the same point in time that she was jailing all of these poor folks, often times for years. Mrs. Stuckey notice very good that staying calm, unruffled and polite in public political debates, and with Kamala Harris especially, can give Donald Trump advantage and make good impression. Mr. Simmons is right in opinion of addressing three topics to Kamala Harris in public debate with Donald Trump, especially illegal migration on Mexican border. Situation is so serious, and even people in U. S. which think they know how serious is situation are not aware how far that gone. You have literally influx of people illegal over American border unimaginable ever in American history. Before when they were big migration vawes mostly from Europe until 1920ties of 20th century, they would be "filtrated" mostly with entrance through New York port and island Ellis. People would be registrated by profession, marital status, age, ethnicity, religious affiliation, health condition etc. Kamala Harris is undoubtedly responsible for current situation on border, which is not from her side responsible and encouraging. She shouldn't be president of U S.

Insulin. Trump made insulin $25, then as soon as Biden entered office, he cancelled out Trump's executive order. My son has type 1 diabetes and I went from paying $75 for a 3 months supply to $150. His continous glucose monitor now costs me $235 for a 3 months supply. Biden made his own executive order to lower insulin prices to $35, but it doesn't affect my family because we're private insurance. But he claims he made insulin cheaper.

May 2022.
House Bill 813.
Christians organize themselves and draft a "Bill of Abolition" for their state. This would criminalize anyone who willfully involves themselves in this activity, including the parents. It is a very simple bill that life begins at conception and ends by natural causes.
The bill receives wide the spread support within the legislature of Louisiana, HB 813, it is poised to pass.
What happens next?
Part 2.
71 of the largest and most influential *pro-life* organizations in America banned together and draft an open letter to the Louisiana legislature begging them not to pass any bill which which would actually place real penalties upon the parents.
The bill fails. Scenarios very similar to this have taken place over 22 times in the last 5 years. It is the "pro-life" community keeping it legal.
"Live Action."
Was the only major group that did not sign a letter. But they also did not support the bill either.
Part 3.
So, "Live action." is doing nothing to end abortion but at least they're not defending it like all the other large organizations.
