Your take makes for a re-visitation of my Rochas. I've had it for over 6 months and I really haven't gotten into the joint to be honest. I Do find it to be a very masculine and somewhat classic scent. I don't know what it is...but it just doesn't have alot of character for my taste I guess. I bought it while acquiring Layton, Oajan and Tom Ford's Extreme Noir. So in that line-up........it was like....ehh...

Moustache EDP is a great fragrance I plan wearing it as soon as it hits the lower temps here in Arkansas….we’re still averaging 70 degrees daytime and upper 50’s at night

I bought Moustache from getting a decant of Tuxedo. It's definitely close. I was happy, especially the price difference. Plus, it came as a 125ml, so that was nice.
Moustache EDP is my favorite of all my fragrances. I’ve found it makes for a great blending fragrance. MEDP Blended with Cedrat Boise is incredible.

They're both winners and smell great...moustache does have a little more depth and the patchouli does pop out more...I think Kismet is a bit smoother and creamier.

What up brother, funny thing about the kismet is when you Google it and go to images there's a handful of middle eastern sellers that have Kismet as a clone of Kilian Straight To Heaven Extreme clone, no one talks about this and the presentation and the bottle is a Kilian-ish design, having the shields on the side and badging on the front like Kilian's bottles, the box kismet comes in is the same as the coffin style Kilian uses, thoughts? 🤔

I just blind bought mustache with all the hype smelling like YSL tuxedo LOL but it reminds me of Tom Ford Costa aqua private blend in the new version as well I just thought the other day when were you going to put mustache back in the video

Moustache EDP is ruined by the pepper imo. Kismet is way closer to Tuxedo and is so smooth. The presentation is to die for as well

Yes i do believe kismet is the better office choice.
You do not notice the coffee note in Kismet until the back of the dry down.

I literally just got Kismet last week and was disappointed to be honest. Just like you said I heard it had coffee and cacao notes but don't get any of that. Leans slightly feminine to me I'll probably end up giving it to my wife.
There is two of the kismet , you might of bought the one for woman , I almost did on accident

Just got kismet and I bought it based off of fragrantica's note breakdown, people comparing it to tuxedo, and it being a cheaper alt to rochas moustache which I can't find right now. I don't get any of those notes in my spray and it's very weak performing. I'm hoping this is one of those colognes that performs once you get in the middle of it. It's very weak to the point I can't smell anything in it. Kismet I give a 4.7 out of 10.
It definitely gets better with time, and yes the note breakdown is not accurate.
Macerate Bro. It is what I thought also at first. It's been over w months now and it smells awesome. Problem is, it's summer time here in the Philippines so I can't use it as of now. 😅

Usually 4 around my neck & a few extra sprays on my clothes, just depends on the situation.
seeing a lot of reviews of both of these so when ppl say classy etc .. does it smell "old man"-ish? like them old 70s type scents or them old drugstore types? I mean I actually still have an old bottle of drakkar which I still love and someone was like it smells like old man I was like WTF... so I dunno lol

At the end of the day all that matters is how close are they to the original fragrance they're trying to emulate, not to be compared in a vs type of competition against each other (clones) because that would be redundant!

I've never smelled YSL Tuxedo. But I have smelled Rochas Moustache EDP. And it smells like something my grandmother would wear and I'm 52yrs old. If they smell anything alike then I'm good. Thank God for FragranceNet return policy because I would never have worn this ever.

In Arabic language, the rhythm of speech is to start high n end low. It is the opposite of mostly Caucasian cultures. When they make fragrances, no matter how much they copy all the chemicals they analysed, they still produce a fragrance that has good n exact top notes but but let you down with the dry down.

The fragrance gets smoother overall as time passes. One of my favorites.
Tuxedo is drier and less sweet, after 1 hour the florals shine through. Moustache is sweeter and more vanillic compared to Tuxedo…no florals at all.
I had Tuxedo i i think its really goood, but Moustache is also very nice and for its price even better.
They are def similar, not 100% but at least 85-90%.
