Seeing Margrete on her yacht and other Royals, it makes me sad that Britain retired the yacht Britannia of the UK's royal family. I keep thinking of how much fun Wm and Kate's kids and the entire family would have on the yacht. When reading about the last Russian Tzar and his family, there were letters and diary entries from the 4 girls and they were probably the happiest ever when sailing on the Royal yacht. They were so sheltered and on the yacht, the sailors played games with them showed them cookin.g and sailing and they loved it. The two older girls, Tatiana and Olga developed their first crushes from among the sailors present=all quite innocent but I'm sure you remember how your first crushes were in your early teens. I sure do, and we acted to goofy~ Thanks for a great report Alexandra
good morning and thank you for another great review.and good audio today... lots of good news today . I am wondering about King of Spain's mother.. we don't see her at all. My last memory was of Letizia dragging her daughters away from the queen mother as they left a chruch gathering...... ...
Happy birthday 🎂 🎈 to HRH Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden. HM Queen Margarethe looks wonderful and happy anniversary of her reign. It's good to HM King Felipe enjoying Wimbledon. THRH the Princesd of Asturias and Infanta Sofia are just absolutely beautiful young ladies. I've enjoyed learning about some of the other royals of the Middle East in addition to the Jordanian and Saudi royal families and the Asian royals also. I agree with you Alexandra , I'm quite fond of TRH Maria Carolina and Maria Chiara of Bourbon-Two Sicilies.
It’s pathetic that Kate was the only Royal to show up for the women’s final at Wimbledon - really pathetic. I guess William’s priorities don’t include promoting women.
there were a bunch of royals present for the ladies semi-finals. Wimbledon was the domain of the Kent branch until the Duchess of Kent went into seclusion. The Duchess of Gloucester in obviously a tennis fan, but I think the rest of the royals prefer horses. Kate played tennis, so it's a natural fit for her to attend. I've never seen the Princess Royal, Prince Edward, Prince Andrew, Prince Phillip at Wimbledon. Diana enjoyed it. I play tennis so I would love to attend Wimbledon if I were a royal but I'm not much on horse racing so would avoid Ascot.
She was there in the capacity of Royal Patron of AELTC/Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Association. All the royals have different responsibilities and they can't be everywhere. I think William is the President of FA and he could have been attending some functions related to the Women's World Cup Football.
So, the photos of Margrethe are "proof of life" photos, thus it can be documented that she made it alive and reasonably well to become the longest-reigning Danish monarch? I suppose the dates required on such a photo are on the negatives or videos. All these royals do an awful lot of memorializing themselves added to all the ancestor worship and the parties and the special celebrations. I know they do some serious work, but compared to the other nonsense, it ain't as much as they want us to think it is, I fear. I like the Danish royals, but all of this is too much at some point. They all do this stuff, of course, and could change.
Daisy likes the adulation imo. The Crown Prince and Crown Princess and the Prince Joachim couple are not like that. But Daisy enjoys being celebrated and lauded. She enjoys being Queen while others do the heavy lifting.
@@Izzieq1 I don't understand your negative attitude. She has been Queen since she was 31and she has done a great job - all the heavy lifting was done by her while her heir and spare were young - she has earned her happiness. I don't think the Danish people begrudge her being happy with her life and her status - it was not what she asked, it was her destiny. Denmark are lucky to have her as their Sovereign Queen and celebrating her long reign is the right thing to do.
@@MTMF.london Actually it was not her destiny. It as the stroke of a pen that made her Queen not some anointing. And yes, she has had more than 50 years to make her mark. Maybe it is time she steps aside and enjoys that happiness you speak of and let Frederik take over. She should take a look at her BFF Beatrix in the Netherlands...worked for her just fine and she is still doing engagements and being seen. Her reign as celebrated all last year...repeatedly. Seems like this is just a bit of an ott reach. But to each their own. IMO it is time for the next generation to take over.
Queen Margrethe looks amazing since her back surgery. She looks younger and has that sparkle that is uniquely her.
Thank you for the updates Alexandra and have a wonderful Sunday evening, yourself. 😊
Wishing the Queen, good health,
and a speedy recovery.
(a very special woman, and Queen
indeed) 🇺🇸
I like your voice and your manner of presentation of the Royals news
Thank you for your kind comment, Steve! I really appreciate it! 🙂
The lovely Charlene looks happy and relaxed. Gone is that shadow of sadness that clouded her beautiful face for so long. Wish her every happiness ❤

Im not sure I would consider that a platter. Lol. Maybe a centerpiece, but where would you put food? 😂
Que verguenza, un presidente reuniendose con un rey sin corbata.
Estoy seguro de que a Su Majestad el Rey no le importó.🙂

Charlotte wasn't there either. Why just single out William?

She is not the longest regning Danish monarch, that is Christian IV with 60 years (1588-1648).
She’s just cool!
