Apologies in advance - I don't know how other people feel but sometimes it can feel a bit misleading/unrelatable as a viewer when content creators say things like "I ordered this" or "I did some damage" in sponsored content as my understanding is that the items are often gifted, and the content is created for financial gain (as it absolutely should be, you 10000% should be compensated for your time and effort!!). Absolutely no hate to you or sponsored content at all, I really enjoy and appreciate your videos and am very happy and excited that it provides a living for you, I just wanted to reach out. True! Once all the items are added to my cart it’s way too much money and feels unrealistic. But I agree that of course you are in a different position and can receive these items to show them off. Maybe you could include a disclaimer at the beginning. Love your videos!

If I “do damage” in the sense of making a big online order, I have to take into account my bills, rent, financial responsibilities and it has real repercussions on my life, whereas when it’s gifted, those considerations aren’t necessary so what damage are you really doing? And just to be clear, I think it’s really cool that people like Rachel have these opportunities and I’m genuinely happy for them. It’s no hate to Rachel at all, I understand it’s just colloquialisms, I guess I think it can come off a bit unrelatable as a consumer, and that things could be a bit more transparent if vocabulary like that is avoided. I hope that makes sense!
Hi Rachel! One tip if you're visiting colder places in Aus (I live in Canberra) - the best layer you can wear in winter is a down jacket. Kathmandu is a crowd favourite ;) but Macpac, The North Face and Patagonia also have really great options! No matter what you decide to bring, you will inevitably need a warm, comfy jacket that goes with everything. Happy travels! 🤎
