(TIMESTAMP 2:45) To Mount the Brackets to the Motorcycle: I used (6) 5/16 diameter standard tread bolts 1-1/4 inch long that I bought at Lowe's in a pinch. I may switch out with some chrome ones later. The zinc coating was close to chrome so it didn't stand out.
So if i get the quick disconnect, and the rack you have listed from amazon, I can take off tour pak and put on whenever? And quickly? Plug and ply? I have a 2012 Ultra Classic.
You might also find a better deal on eBay. The wire extension is for the lights on the tour pack. If you don't use the radio or CB antenna, that eliminates an extra step. Some people relocate the antennas to other locations on the bike. I simply used a different radio antenna and placed it under the seat without relocating the CB antenna."
@CarnivoreBodybuilding that is what I did. I use my Sena helmet com for music and to connect with other riders. So, don’t use much but it can easily be reconnected if needed.
Looks like an Electra Glide without the tour pack. Doesn't look like a Street Glide. SG has different lighting, no spots, no chrome guards on the saddle bags, different suspension. The hidden antenna will work better if you put it in the fairing.
True. I thought of taking those off but the chrome guards are so useful if it tips on side. And I kind of like the spots if needed. Thanks for tip about the antenna. But, I do agree it is sportier (if that’s a word) and much more of a street glide without the chrome guards.
Can you put a link for back rest and mounting kit?

Do you have a template that you drilled into your chrome fender
parts?
I just marked where it needed to be drilled and took off. Sorry, no template.
Is it easy enough to do yourself?
Do you have the link for tue connector? I found the mount and and the bracket but not the connector
if you have the 1997-2013 you probably need just the extension off of this one. amzn.to/3uEQf2h
let me know if that is not what you are looking for

Why or Why not would you convert yours?
Where did all the parts come from. Thanks David!
I put the links for Amazon in the description but sometimes they are cheaper on eBay.

Would you convert your Ultra to a street glide?
