- This simple video is about how to do manual regeneration if DPF warning appears in Toyota Innova Crysta or Toyota Fortuner. DPF is Diesel Particulate Filter which is installed in BS-6 vehicle to filter our particulate matters. If DPF warning appears on the MID of Toyota Innova Crysta or Toyota Fortuner, it can be removed by pressing the manual regeneration button. The same process has been shown in this video.

nice video, question regarding manual regeneration first is how long will it take to regenerate, second - what if we need to drive in emergency, during or before manual regeneration.
and which diesel is recommended, i was told to go for Shell VPower, and can we interchange diesel like normal / VPower....

Hi Naqvi Ji, manual regeneration (as per the feedback from customers) may take from 10 mins to 30 mins. It may vary depending on various reasons.
Second, you will not be able to drive the vehicle during manual regeneration, however you can drive the vehicle before it, if you get the message "DPF Full, Do Manual Regeneration or Visit you nearest dealership", but not recommended to drive for long distance.
Third, only BS-6 compatible diesel is recommended to avoid frequent DPF Full situation. There is no issue with interchanging diesel type.
Overall, if your vehicle is used frequently for longer runs, you will not get into the situation to do manual regeneration as the vehicle automatically regenerates the particulate matter.

Most of the time this may be a regular phenomenon on an Crysta diesel but many times the warning comes like "DPF is full visit dealer"...what do you do then.Visit the dealer or you are allowed to regenerate the way you have described.Please explain. 🙏
Hi, whenever you get the warning, try to manually regenerate first as mentioned in the video. If the process is completed and the DPF is cleaned, no need to visit the dealership. But if during DPF Full warning, if you press the button to manually regenerate the DPF and the process doesn't gets started and it is still flashing the warning "DPF Full, Visit Dealership", you should definately visit the workshop to get it checked.

There is a soot deposition that occurs on the particulate filter .
From an unknown source , some say that the soot is removed only by holding the the filter over a burning furnace which is why it's advocated that if feasible the diesel car should be driven at 80km or plus speed for 30min to 1 hour to remove the soot , on a highway ..!

Hi, DPF cleans itself at high temperature when the vehicle is continuously running for more than around 30 mins. Until you are not getting any message like "DPF Full" on your MID, it is fine to drive your vehicle.

DPF regeneration process exhaust ke heat up hone ke baad shuru hota hai. WO gaadi ki speed par depend karta hai, agar local city driving hai at low speed to process start hone mein time lag sakta hai.

If you are getting DPF warning, your DPF should regenerate itself during a long trip or you can do that manually as shared in the video. However if you are getting the “DPF full” warning. You should visit a Toyota dealer first before your trip.

June 2020 vali innova me naaa bar hai naa koi msg deti hai direct DPF full bata deti hai....kya kare pla bataye
November 2020 se pehle ki Innova Crysta me DPF level check nahi kar sakte. But as per owners manual, usme bhi DPF full hone se pehle warning messages aate hain, just like the current Innova Crysta.

DPF clogged ka matlab hai ki DPF filter full ho gaya hai, ya to manual regeneration se clear ho sakta hai jaisa ki video me bataya hai, otherwise nearest workshop pe check karwana padega.

Jab tak gadi road pe chalti rahti hai tab tak ac mast cool karta hai aur engine heat bhi nahi hota hai but agar gadi ek jagah khadi karke mumkin 30 minute ac on rakhta hu to ac cool bhi nhi karti hai aur gadi heat bhi ho jati hai
Aap ko jaldi hi apni gaadi nearest dealership pe check karwani chahiye. Agar gaadi heat ho rahi hai to that means may be raditor fan kaam na kar raha ho, coolant engine chamber me circulate na ho raha ho ya phir coolant level low ho. In any case that can be harmful for engine.

As shared in the video, agar gaadi High speed par Kam chalti hai then after a period of time aapko manual regeneration karna padta hai to clean the DPF filter. p245300 code, DPF regeneration process mein dikkat aane par illuminate hota hai. Iska reason DPF filter choke hone par ya DPF sensor malfunction ho sakta hai. Koi bhi Toyota workshop isko diagnose kar ke error code ko reset kar sakta hai.
Better to avoid diesel as this will give long term issues. Cng is a better alternative
