Hand line with 4 circle hooks on decent nylon twine, octopus tentacle for bait, slack tide, high or low obviously. Caught plenty well over 10 kg and around 20 kg. Watch their gill plates as they are razor sharp and will do the damage you will regret for many many years!

See them over 15 kg, they get very deep from top to bottom in front dorsal fin.
What is the range of the boat full of fuel?
We used about 150 litres on day 1. About 100km.
I’d love to go out there but I’d probably never come back if I went in my little 4.5m tinny 😂😂
Hah, well you really have to pick your days. The first day I was a little on edge on the way out. We were going 10 kts but luckily it got better.

That's about as good as Stripey fishing gets...not sure about the electrics though...seems like cheating...Pedra is epic but is also a mission....no easy feat..weather looked prime...Tasman Island next?
Totally cheat fishing, but I’ve never actually had as much luck using the electrics. Something about the hook set is so important… even with circles!

Pedra Blanca is one of the most remote fishing destinations in Tasmania. It’s know for it’s wild and dangerous conditions which makes it inaccessible. Isn’t that the definition of remote? Haha.
