Mei-Ling Perry of La Jolla Country Day Basketball on Comeback Win at Nike Tournament of Champions

Mei-Ling Perry (@perrysisters), a junior guard at La Jolla Country Day High in California (@ljcds_wbb), scored 15 of her game-high 36 points in the fourth quarter to help the Torreys rally for a 69-54 girls basketball victory against Cherry Creek High of Colorado in the opening round of the Joe Smith Division at the Nike Tournament of Champions at Mountain View High in Mesa, Ariz. Perry, a Princeton commit, contributed 20 second-half points to help La Jolla Country Day overcome a 29-27 halftime deficit. Safiyah Sugapong, a junior guard, added 17 points for the Torreys.
