I didnt thought that the location of every element would change. I thought about LAMDA eff first..calculated that and tried to integrate it to get the COM of the rod. Logarithms was coming in the answer so i gave up and thought im just stupid for these problems.😂 Thanks sir for the problem. Pls provide more such problems its super fun.
Thank You So Much sir for the reward of modern physics course.. I really appreciate the way you made a contest with a prize which motivated many students to come up forward and develop their thinking process.. Looking forward for more such contest Thank you.. 😊
sir i want to attempt more such problem so i request u to launch more suvh courses which focus only on such variety of q bank or q serires IT WILL REAALYY HELP SIR .Really appreicate ur work sir
Sir my final ans is correct but the solution part has variation as for what reason I don't know, god knows, that I mistakenly considered forces 2F on the right side of the rod instead of the configuration given in question., yet the final ans is same , this led to my ineligibility of the contest but a further insight into the variation of these type of question that shift in com is same whether the two forces are on the same side or on different sides.. And this is evident from the fact also that net displacement of com of any body is only due to the net external force acting on it..not depending on how they act... Thank you sir..for stimulating our mind to go into these kind of typical thought process that overall evolves our mind...🙏 Looking forward for another such problem and contest...
Dear sir i am in a doubt that if mass density changed (not uniform) so how there's written mass of x length of rod as (MX/L) it should be in the case when rod still will have uniform density I have also got the solution to the left but didn't get that proper answer
Hello sir, Currently I am in class 12th grade. I have not studied a single chapter for JEE or boards yet. So what should I do now? My CBSE board exams start from February 15th. Should I target boards or important JEE chapters? Or Sir, I could study the 12th JEE syllabus for drop year in November and December, like electromagnetism, calculus, and organic chemistry. These would also be useful for my 12th boards. Then I could study the remaining 12th chapters for boards level in January, like ray optics, modern physics, matrix determinants, 3D vectors, probability, physical chemistry -2 chapters (other chapters are deleted), and inorganic chemistry -2 chapters (other chapters are deleted). And then my boards in Feb. Or should I study the entire 12th CBSE boards syllabus because this year boards are going to be 50% competitive? Please guide me, sir.

Give us more problems like this, sir.I really appreciate it.

Logarithms was coming in the answer so i gave up and thought im just stupid for these problems.😂
Thanks sir for the problem. Pls provide more such problems its super fun.
I did the same but was able to arrive at the answer.. you should have used simple approximaations like 1/(1-x) =1+x etc
Thank You So Much sir for the reward of modern physics course.. I really appreciate the way you made a contest with a prize which motivated many students to come up forward and develop their thinking process..
Looking forward for more such contest
Thank you.. 😊
Thank you for participating and all the best with your studies 🙂👍🏼
Sir I believe we should definitely have more contests.. soo interesting
Definitely! 🙂 Need to compile problems where everyone thinks they are in with a chance but requires good skill level to solve

thanku sir

I got it right sir!! Thank you for going through solutions.Pls keep giving problems like this we students really appreciate your efforts.
Keep it up 👍🏼
Amazing solution
Sir my final ans is correct but the solution part has variation as for what reason I don't know, god knows, that I mistakenly considered forces 2F on the right side of the rod instead of the configuration given in question., yet the final ans is same , this led to my ineligibility of the contest but a further insight into the variation of these type of question that shift in com is same whether the two forces are on the same side or on different sides.. Thank you sir..for stimulating our mind to go into these kind of typical thought process that overall evolves our mind...🙏
Looking forward for another such problem and contest...
Sir, I did more or less the same way. Could you please tell where I was wrong sir? My name is Shubhajeet Das.
this is in landau too I believe. theory of elasticity
Don't know if it's directly there... Please share a snapshot to me in the app 🙂
did you actually read the book or you googled up the question in some manner?

I appreciate your work a lot and also share it with my friends
Thank you so much 😀
Dear sir i am in a doubt that if mass density changed (not uniform) so how there's written mass of x length of rod as (MX/L) it should be in the case when rod still will have uniform density
I have also got the solution to the left but didn't get that proper answer
Explained it with difference between Lamba before and lamba' after in the next slides... Please check ( x is length before)
Nice problem sir. Can also be solved using Taylor series expansion and neglecting higher order terms
Yes, few students did that in their solution 🙂
