Not knowing A.J was placed furigana to write Kanji touched him, the furigana is the Ruby script that accompanies the kanji to make it easier to read, this is usually simpre in Hiragana but sometimes can go in Katakana or Romaji this case.
Chichiri520, does it really matter how they did it? It was probably easier for them to draw and color the characters in because some of them can be a bit hard and tricky. i know myself because i've tried and plus im japanese... or partial japanese. Yes Kevin may have been the only one to actually write them like you're supposed to, but just because it was easy for him does'nt mean it was for the other guys. at least they tried thier best. thats all that matters.
