I got the GZ model, big selling point for me was the IPS panel (really not a fan of TN or VA panels), 240hz (advertised as OC to 280hz), fully adjustable stand (I have no space to wall mount or a vesa arm). I don't sit right on top of my monitor so pixel density isn't too big of an issue for me. Backlight looks very uniform with no dark or bright spots. HDR 400 is a bonus. Looks sooo much better than my 24 inch Onn monitor, which is to be expected. Picked it up for $250 US to pair with my 6750 XT. Ultra preset with a few of the options adjusted down/turned off I can push MW2 to ~230fps. I'm going to mess with my game settings a bit and maybe OC my GPU a bit to see if I can get closer to full utilization. I really couldn't be happier. Colors look good, picture is crisp, ghosting on mine isn't even as bad as the ghosting in the video. This is my first real high refresh rate gaming monitor, so to me it looks absolutely stunning versus what it replaced.
I have the ACER CB272 with a few months. It's a 27" 1080p 75Hz freesync monitor. I don't see any individual pixels when using it and my eyesight isn't that bad. I love the monitor. It's only a stopgap until I can afford to get another 21:9 monitor.
I think that at its current price on amazon (170$) this monitor is a wonderful deal for the price (obviously not so much at 400 pounds). For someone like me who's looking for really cheap IPS, high refresh rate and decent colors, but isn't going to use it for professional gaming or photo editing, it's an absolute steal, because it still offers all of these features at a more than acceptable quality. It remains a touch above the rest at the 170$ price point, so I think it becomes a much better value when you judge it at that price category, so if you're looking for something with a great experience at a cheap price point, I think this and the AOC 27G2 are really great options.
Its for me. I just got it fucking loving it! You do realize most of us game on 1080p right. Like literally why nivida aint worried about dx12 most of us game on dx 11
@@dwightwright6334 Would you recommend it with a price tag of 350$ / euros ? That's the price I'm finding for this monitor. I have a dilemma between this and 27' Benq Mobiuz which is 1080p 165 Hz. Supports G-Sync and has HDR also.

Thank you for this review. I wish it had posted before I went with the ace predator to use with my Xbox Series X… running 120hz. Until gaming monitors have HDMI 2.1 more commonly installed, I have either the 4K choice or the 120 choice. Now I’m reconsidering my purchase and wonder if the MSI MAG27 VCR or CQR is a better option? I’m fine with 120hz gaming over 4K. Would prefer the 4K + 120 monitor. But the only ones sporting that capability are very expensive!!
Snagged the GZ model at my local pawn shop, like new, for $119. Excited to try it out. This was a good video with some good points in the comments as well
Funny, I'm watching this review of yours because I'm interested in this Acer monitor because my AOC 24G2ZU just died after only 2 months of use! It's nice that AOC has better test scores (faster, etc), but I certainly won't buy their monitors again.
you can send 1440p or 4k to a 1080p panel , and it looks a lot sharper. It's a great way to get more anti-aliasing on graphics hardware that can handle the higher resolution.
I picked up this monitor 6 months ago. It is attached to my Xbox one X and use HDMI 2.1 cable. I had hopes I would be able to play 1440p/120hz but it is not an option. Using 4k is not good. 1440p/60hz is ok but 1080p/120fps seems to play best. I have not messed with SRGB but simply use it with stock settings. It is my first ever gaming monitor and I prefer it over our newly bought TCL R635 75". We purchased that TV for Gaming and it's been a let down. I play on 1440P/120hz on the TV with the Xbox one X. I'm shocked at the results you've gotten and how slow it is compared to what is advertised. Makes me want to return it as it sounds like a marketing attempt to fool the public.
Why would you pick up a 1080p monitor if you wanted to play 1440p? that doesn't make sense. I just ordered the same monitor, but 1440p 165hz variant. If you want to play 1440p, I would return it if you're still within the return window.
With short supply for monitors in our area and just seeing this was a shock. It had a lot of good reviews and still does. I'm simply playing over HDMI and connected to xbox one x. I agree, I should've looked closer at the 1080x1920 and paid twice the price for the 1440p model.
@@whess1286 will this monitor work on ps5 120 hertz? I’m willing to purchase it. I don’t really care about 1440p cause it’s not out yet for ps5. I’m wanting to game on 1080p 120 hertz on a ps5.

Good night, great video and very explanatory! In your opinion, what would be the best monitor to play professionally and that is not too expensive?
I would love to know, i've been searching Amazon for hours and can't find one that works properly.
So what would be the best settings to turn on or off for competitive play?

Important thing to note is that this monitor is REAL G-Sync and not just G-Sync compatible. Hella deals on this model out there.
It is listed on Nvidia site as G-Sync Compatible. Lowest Sync is 48hz.

Does it need a tower.
yeah lol
