Monuments' previous albums sound sort of plain without solos. i love that they finally are moving into a more mature direction. i hope all songs have one solo as well.

I was blown away years ago when Andy auditioned for Volumes. I thought his version of Erased was just as good if not better than the original, the pitch change in the second verse had me cheering from my desk. He is without a doubt a perfect fit for Monuments and this video is proof

NIGHTY EXPLOSIVE John Browne might be but not the band. Their debut album isn’t even 10 years old. I would say SikTh, Meshuggah, Vildhjarta and even TesseracT are more important than Monuments to the genre.

I remember this riff to be the thing that introduced me to to DADGAD tuning. I couldn't wait for it to be used on a record.

NIGHTY EXPLOSIVE John Browne might be but not the band. Their debut album isn’t even 10 years old. I would say SikTh, Meshuggah, Vildhjarta and even TesseracT are more important than Monuments to the genre.

I was watching John Browne demoing a Rectifier on his channel and heard this riff and thought my god I have to learn this. Then I thought how have I never heard this song before. I have now discovered Monuments and I'm headed down the rabbit hole.
His screams really bring that Gnosis vibe back to the band, and I dig it, cause Andy's clean vocals are absolutely stellar as well.

I was WORRIED they'd lose the signature melodic style with a new singer but Andy is carrying on the same style while bringing in his own. Really think this might be their final form. Cant wait for the album.
