    As a Veteran wearing these all day . I have bought several and sent them back. People can talk junk all they want I still like my 5-11 Tactec . It's comfortable and with the molle you can ad whatever you want. I did add the Ferro concepts cumberbun that holds 4 mags just because I like the extra pockets. At the end of the day it's what you like and if it's comfortable for you to wear with added weight. Thanks for the videos. 🤙🏽

      Thanks for the comment! Yea, I absolutely agree! At the end of the day everyone will have specific preferences when it comes to gear. As long as the gear accomplishes what that specific person is looking for as well as being comfortable who am I to judge what manufacturer they run with.
      I never understood gear snobs who turn up their nose to specific gear. The way I see it, if it's not something they like well they don't have to rock it. But also don't judge someone who does happen to like the gear. We all have our preferences!
      Thank you for your service!

      @@TacticalNewbie101 Well I am big chested (42) and I have the shoulder straps adjusted about as far as they can go and still hold, but another 1" or so would be nice. The cummerbund is tight, I need to move the back ties to the outer molle strips, cause I only get about 1" of contact with the Velcro on the front on both sides. I've never had it come lose, but all of my wear time has been fairly benign stuff at the range. Thanks!

    Curious how much each one weighs empty and loaded? Weight is the limiting factor when considering mobility. Have you considered 3A+ flexible armor?

    • @TacticalNewbie101
      @TacticalNewbie101  Месяц назад

      Thanks for the comment and that's a really good idea! I will definitely try to make an emphasis on the overall weight of each plate carrier system once the configuration is finalized for each one and really hammer home how overall weight is a definitive factor to take into consideration when building a load out.
      I will eventually look into 3A and 3A+ plates for some of my plate carriers and also try to do a non ballistic review of some plates and prices when I buy them. As we all know plates are pretty pricey (especially for the good ones) so I am waiting for when I wrap up a pretty comprehensive run of low budget loadouts and tactical comparison segments running at the start of 2025.
      Obviously my channel is very gear heavy at the moment but I am going to slowly transition into some other product reviews and segments that will hopefully highlight some of the stuff you mentioned (which you generally give me great ideas for upcoming content)
      I obviously do some hefty builds for most of my Low budget kit. But most of it is just for fun and experimentation (a lot of trail and error)
      My "Fighting Loadout" at the moment is my Ferro Slickster which I set up fairly slick and light. So I definitely took weight into high consideration for that set up and kinda use that as the template for how I am experimenting with other kit.
      I appreciate the regular comments and helpful input like always!

      Thanks for the comment and advice. Yea that's one of the most common criticisms or advice I tend to get in the comments section. My Ferro Concepts Slickster Loadout with Wilder Tactical Belt has legit CAT TQ's. These Low Budget Loadouts are generally for airsoft dry fire practice and eventual milsim/ airsoft events.
      I am likely gonna build out an official Crye JPC 2.0 in the same fashion as the replica one shown in the video and run the replica one for milsim/ airsoft (with fake TQ's) and the other for real steel training (with real CAT TQ's)
      But I appreciate the input and take it all very seriously. So don't hold back when giving any experienced advice or critique! Thanks a lot!

    How do you compare the kydex low vis vs the krydex jpc?

    • @TacticalNewbie101
      @TacticalNewbie101  Месяц назад +1

      Thanks for the comment. Overall I think it just depends on what you are looking for ideally. Obviously the Krydex Low Vis Carrier is modeled off of a combination of some aspects of the spiritus Systems lV119 and most aspects of the Ferro Concepts Slickster while The Krydex JPC 2.0 is obviously modeled after the Crye JPC 2.0.
      I personally love the JPC set up at the moment and featured it as my #1 favorite on this video so I may be a bit biased overall. But both are legit clones that would serve anyone great and mainly depends on how you are looking to build plate carrier set up.
      If you want something slick I would recommend the Low Viz. If you want something more overt and that offers more capability to install pouches and back panels then the JPC is perfect for that.
      I hope that helps! Thanks for the comment!

    • @TacticalNewbie101
      @TacticalNewbie101  Месяц назад +1

      Thanks for the comment! The Redemption Tactical Plate Carrier is still around and holding up great! I am retrofitting it to be a ruck plate carrier for exercise and long ruck hikes. I really want to put this carrier to the test and the best way to do so IMO is putting it through more serious training routines outside of dry fire and range training.
      Unfortunately it did drop it from my Top 3 but only because some of the budget clones are such a close match to the real stuff that I wanted to highlight them as viable options to the real Gucci options.

    • @TacticalNewbie101
      @TacticalNewbie101  Месяц назад +1

      Yea overall it's a great plate carrier and would serve anyone well in getting it. Full transparency though, I featured the Redemption Tactical Crusader 2.0 very early into my first year of the channel when I didn't know as much in general about plate carriers and some of the other manufacturers and basic set up and theory involved.
      Now knowing what I do (but still nowhere near an expert in the slightest) I realized how many budget friendly clones are out in the market that are super affordable and are almost in most cases a direct 1 for 1 match of the more high end Gucci manufacturers like Ferro, Agilite, Crye, Spiritus Systems, Hailey Strategic etc.
      Now knowing this and progressively featuring these clones and comparing them to the real thing I have realized just how good some of these clones are for a fraction of the price.
      Now obviously with the election coming up there may be some big changes to the prices of these clones that are mostly made in China but I think even with some of the specific price changes some of them if not all will still be massively cheaper options to the Gucci ones that generally have an inflated price tag for civilians generally because of military or law enforcement contracts that these Gucci companies have that have them inflating those prices
      I have a lot of tactical comparison content coming in 2025 that will feature and compare these clone options. But obviously if anything it's definitely a good idea to get what budget gear you can now before any changes happen post election.
      Redemption Tactical is a great option overall and will provide everything you will need for a good starter set up to get out and get training.

    AGK19 is the best fitting plate carrier on the market. It fits snug but not to tight and it’s my main carrier. I have the HRT carrier with a Haley Strategic Heavy placard for .308 setup as well and is slimmed down to help with weight but still K19 is my main setup.

    • @MonsterChuck
      @MonsterChuck Месяц назад +3

      K19 is nothing but gimmicks and is objectively a bad carrier. It does not fit well at all unless you are shaped like a ball. Too much material, too bulky, shoulder buckles get in the way and never really puts the plates where they are supposed to be (either choking you out or sagging). No one actually likes the K19 and if someone tells you they do, they are lying or don't know any better. Get something quality like a LV119, MEPC or JPC 2.0.

    • @TacticalNewbie101
      @TacticalNewbie101  Месяц назад +1

      Thanks for the comment! Yea the K-19 is a popular carrier system but I notice it does have a split demographic of individuals who either love it or hate it. I'm split at the moment but in the later "Tactical Comparison" planned for 2025 I will be cross comparing the Agilite K-19 with the Tacticon Armament Battle Vest Elite which (spoiler alert) is basically the same plate carrier.
      A bunch of the guys in the comment section made mention that the Tacticon Battle Vest is an Alibaba (made in China) set up which is crazy considering it is basically an almost exact match to the K-19. Makes me wonder where Agilite manufacturers their plate carriers because some of these chinese knock offs are uncanny in their similarities to the Gucci counterpart.

    • @TacticalNewbie101
      @TacticalNewbie101  Месяц назад +1

      Thanks for the comment! Yea the K-19/ Tacticon Battle Vest Elite (clone) definitely has some glaring con's that I have noticed over the past year of reviewing it and training in it.
      I definitely agree that there are better options on the market overall and absolutely agree that the JPC 2.0 is one of them (or at least the clone version I currently have).
      I have looked into the MEPC and Defense Mechanisms makes some really really cool stuff (I love the MECH Belt and will likely get one to review eventually).

    You carry too much gear in your rig mate, keep it light for the fight. Keep items not related to fighting in your pack so that when you are in contact, all that extra weight can be jettisoned.

    • @TacticalNewbie101
      @TacticalNewbie101  День назад

      Thanks for the comment and advice! Yea, that's the general advice coming from a bunch of commenters on a few of my Low Budget Loadout videos and the advice is definitely warranted and super helpful!
      I run a Ferro Concepts Slickster that is light and run it pretty slick that I use for my real steel training and "fighting set up". These Low Budget Loadout features are kinda just me playing around with different set ups, experimenting with different low budget clone kit and wearing and training with it to see how I like it and then hopefully take what I learn and apply it to a Gucci set up down the line. The set up for all 3 Loadouts have been in a lot of flux over the past year and a half since I started the channel.
      But overall I absolutely 10000% agree that a light and fairly slick set up is the most practical and applicable set up in most civilian situations. Honestly I just love the larp and am kinda a kit junkie so I like playing with and exploring different alternatives.
      Thanks again for the comment and great advice!

      Thanks for the comment and critique. My Low Budget Loadouts featured on the video are still in some aspects of adjustment and flux and this is not yet the fully locked in set up for any of them 100%. I absolutely appreciate any input and recommendations based on personal or professional experience and I take said input very seriously when it comes to eventually locking in a configuration that makes the most sense for me.
      To be fair, I do get a fair amount of differing advice from a wide variety of guys who all prioritize specific aspects of load out configuration. Some prioritize an emphasis on ammo, others prioritize an emphasis on first aid, some mention the importance of running more slick due to weight while others mention the importance of having the appropriate gear on hand for specific needs.
      At the end of the day, being a legitimate "Tactical Newbie" alot of my set ups are a combination of experimentation through trial and error and a fun hobby that aids in developing skills that those in the professional setting get through real world real time applications.
      Thanks for the input and if you have any more helpful advice I certainly welcome it.
