Memories of this place are emblazoned into my memory 55+ years later. As a kid of about 10yo, I dined there with my family and was just blown away........ the architecture of Europe, fountains, lighting and 2 menus for the whole place and only 4 choices for main. Before dinner was over many side dishes were brought family style and everything was delicious. I believe there is no other dining experience that compares today!
Thanks for watching. Here's a link to another video from the time when Thoroughbred Music occupied this magnificent building... ruclips.net/video/7RVTd8uB8Ts/видео.html
Hi...thanks for watching! Actually, the Sam Ash store at the Kapok Tree closed several weeks ago, but the banquet facility is till alive and well. I was the manager of the Thoroughbred Music store at the Kapok from 1993-1999, and my wife ran the wedding and banquet facility during that same time span. What an incredible building! Here's a link to a video that was shot by a local TV crew to get short clips for some TV ads we did. It's got some cool shots of the Thoroughbred Music era. Check it out... ruclips.net/video/7RVTd8uB8Ts/видео.html
