Journalist made a rubbish review of this game when he game out due to the lack of the final version of the game was with severals bugs and optimisation... Of course he's not as bad as they said they werent aware enough on the 1st impression. I wish a sequel still but im against the remastered version of the game, there is no point to refreshing this game has less than 10years lol even horizon zero dawn shouldnt get a remastered they are not that old
@@ogataisshinsai8354tbf this game did come out when people were already tired of the ubisoft open world formula. And it was also realised quite buggy. I also didn't enjoy it at release but it's definitely an ok game.
Plain and simple, I don't want to play hours of a game until it becomes good. No hints that something else is going to change bigly is just bad writing, expensive bad writing.
Its not my favorite game ever made, but i think its severely underappreciated. I really liked the game wnen it first came out. I really liked Deacon St John, who was well acted by Sam Witwer, who did a respectable job at the role. In addition i really loved the soundtrack, as well as the overall location and setting of Oregon, which adds to the games overall aesthetic and identity. Plus, the hordes absolutely freaked me out, especially early on, when you don't have the tools to take them on directly, meaning you have to stealth your way past them.
Days gone is far better than the reviewers made it out to be. Sure it had so technical hiccups & long loading screens going into & out of cutscenes felt very PS3 but the game itself was a blast to play, it wasn’t on the masterpiece level of other PS4 exclusives but it was still a really solid game, for me it was a 8.5/10
The biggest issue with Days Gone is the pacing. The pacing is terrible. It can take 6+ hours to get out of the tutorial intro of healing up Boozer. Then you get about 30 hrs into the game to discover you're only halfway done and see the second half of the map. The actual content and story was magnificent.
@@severance101I do think it gets good after about the halfway point, once you get to Iron Mike's settlement, as well as the military one. The pacing early on in the game does drag it down a bit though, and should have been cut down during development.
It is a over looked game with a good story that most gamer did not see the only thing i find a pain is the maker been trying to find a nest to burn just can't find it even if the marker shows been in the sewer system looking no not there been above still not there just can't find it. will have to check out where on you tube but wanted to find it myself lol
I give it a 9.5 , I still play it regularly .. game critics are just like movie critics , if they say it's bad you should already know it is at least good ..
It would seem I had the same issue most reviews had as I got so tired of the plot. It came across as really badly written, especially the flashback of Decon's relationship with his girlfriend. I believe I played about 10 hours of it, though the gameplay itself was fun, the story just frustrated me. I actively dislikes Decon and his relationship seemed flat and rather stupid. It didn't help that my first encounter with a horde glitches and I was able to just stand on a cliff edge and just fire bomb them all with zero issue.
Finally played this game for the first time last month and it's really not as bad as folks make it out to be.

It's just ok
@@samdixon3719 Just your opinion
I bought my PS4 just to play this game and i am still playing it. I am not disappointed after many playthroughs.
Bought this game on my steam deck and it’s awesome
It's not as bad as some say, but it's a lot longer than it needs to be. This game doesn't have enough sauce to be longer than 12 hours

Before you unlock lost lake, this game fuckin drags! Afterwards tho, the story really picks up and drives through the sometimes repetitive gameplay
Its a fantastic fun game

I LOVED that game. 9/10 imo. I wish there was a second one. Some great character acting, good story, decent game mechanics.
Wasnt bad. The controls are kinda clunky. And the parts where you just walk and listen were boring, but overall it was a good game

Days gone was awesome, some terrible dialogue, but fun af gameplay. I played it when it came out on steam, so IDK about the release issues.
Iv had this game day one and still haven’t finished it 🤦🏽♂️
Idk how i never connected Deacon and Daryl.
