The question is, are they also going to improve their economy class experience and replace current domestic first class seats with these new premium economy seats? If they do, that may put them ahead of what Delta and United currently has on offer, otherwise Delta probably still has the edge overall.
Yes, it seems so, if you go to their newsroom site on the pictures there's a sneak peek that economy will be redesign
For sure. I’ve tried both and that’s true
I doubt it. There's a large market of people who would rather save $100 (5 hours of work at median US income) than have a comfy seat.
I'm aware American's economy class is pretty crummy (I'm over 6 ft tall and once took their 15 hour JFK - DEL flight in economy), but for a lot of people, even long-haul travel is just about trying to get from Point-A to Point-B without going broke.
The premium economy market is growing as efficiency increases and passenger mile costs decline relative to incomes, but it will always be something people will have to pay increased fares to have, whether it is built into the ticket price, or comes from a premium airline/separate class.
AA interiors have always impressed me since the first time I flew AA back in 1988. This new seating continues that and doesn't disappoint.
Beautiful premiere economy seats for a long haul aircraft like the A321XLR! American did went all luxury on this one 👍
Glad to see AA stepping it up; it'll spur competition in the US market for other carriers to also include more premium cabin offerings. It'll be interesting to see what routes they'll be flying the A321XLR with this more premium config.
Yes they are however I hoped they'll add Free WiFi Networking on There New A321XLR's All 50 of them but we'll wait to see what happens next with the Major US Carrier.
@@karlossargeant3872 probably not. U want free WiFi u gotta fly JetBlue
@@lilseedy_boi2749 Yup that is so true I can't wait til JetBlue Airways gets there Mint Studio updates for there 13 Airbus A321XLR's Seats for 2024 but we'll wait to see what happens next.
Nothing but a rocket waiting to crash.with no escape. y'all can thank airbus and easa..
Fat people rejoice.
The most important aspect of an inflight experience is the hospitality onboard . New seats look spectacular but can we overhaul the experience as a whole from A to Z . ✈️
I'm rarely impressed by U.S airlines, but I gotta say this really comes close
Don't worry they still have same garbage employees
It's great to finally see some modern premium products from an American airline, instead of the usual 'look at our new product' and it already feels dated when compared to their competitors. This is really nice and will be great to see how it holds up inflight for travellers.
Now those PE seats look like old-school business class, nice. Hope their pricing is not the same lol
Looks pretty great. Though, when airlines talk about enhancing customer experience in the front of the planes, it seems the misery increases exponentially behind the curtain - thinner, narrower seats and sub-30" pitch on legacy carriers. Of course, the ULCC's take that as a challenge and really cram them in.
The majority of the profit on those long haul flights come from first class seating
Very good option for end to end travel in comfort on commercial flight. This will eliminate hub & spoke requirement, works good for time savers.
Looks fantastic.
I can't wait to fly in one of these
looks amazing
Fantastic!
AA has been known for their outdated and uncomfortable cabin. As a frequent one world member I am certainly looking forward to have the actual experience?
Kudos to AA…I hope they won’t disappoint me?
Lot of the American carriers need to step up . Nice to see them using airbus not boeing constantly
I am amazed that they put this cabins such a relative small plane. How many people will fit?
20 fat people.
Wonder what economy will look like...pretty much the same as it is now I'd guess.
Economy is most likely going to be the same that is featured on their B787s. I just hope that AA can refurbish their 777s with this seat!
You will have to position your legs over the seatback of the seat in front of you. Awkward but interesting.
While Boeing will need 5 years to make money with their B787, Airbus will make a hit with the A321 XLR. With a small investment. Another great move from Airbus
A large engineering difference between a A321 and the B787. Better comparison would be to ask how long it will take to make money on the A350.
Ooooh
Sad it didn't even mention Collins Aerospace (A Raytheon Company) as supplier of the seats!
Looks nice
AWESOME...
American is going for the more luxury planes now. It reminds me of Emirates.
Fab!
It's a step down from the 1st class transcon product they offered domestically on the 321-T. The seat will be a step up but the service and amenities will be a step down. It will also be a step down from the International First Class Product offered internationally.
How do you know the service will be a step down. They didn’t mention service.
@@_1Brick1_ They are scrapping "Flagship First" company-wide. They will eliminate it on the 777-300 as well. It's a cost-saving measure. The idea is, they can eliminate ANOTHER flight attendant for all the routes that have Flagship First and unify it to a Flagship Suite (Business Class). They eliminated a Flight Attendant for pandemic reasons already, they get to eliminate 2 by switching out the service. They can also eliminate an entire cart pack from catering. So the catering that the 777-300 gets will be the same as the 777-200 and the pack on the 321 Transcon will also have the same pack. So catering at DFW, MIA, JFK, LAX, SNA and SFO will remove the entire Flagship First menu, making it cheaper only having to pack domestic 1st and MC/Flagship Suite-international Premium economy and international MC (and hawaii). That means the plated food will be the same pre-plated food in BC, the stemware will be gone, the high-end wine choices will be gone, and the plating and table linens will be the same as BC.
It also means they can remove an entire galley from both aircraft to make room for more seats. They have an extra galley dedicated to just Flagship First on the 777-300 and the 321T. Taking out that galley makes each aircraft lighter which saves money, and having more seats makes money.
They may give the menu a makeover to roll out with the new suites but it's going to be the same Business Class product.
Air France has no products like this. Lufthansa?
All fine and good, but where will they be used? In April I flew DFW to LIM in Business on an A321. It was a seven hour flight, and it was awful. The seat had poor pitch, no leg rest, limited recline and the seat cushion was very, very hard. In short, the flight was extremely uncomfortable - and remember, I was in business class. The catering was also woefully small and very limited, and again, inadequate for seven hours' flight time. This hard and soft product might be okay for a 3 hour domestic leg, but they were deplorably inadequate for such a long flight. But AA insist on putting the A321s on these longer international sectors. I have repeat business trips to LIM coming up. I will NOT be choosing AA for them.
Why are we are kidding ourselves? Let's just call it what it is, First, Buisness & Coach. This way all the confusion goes away with labels like "premium economy" and people know exactly what they are getting.
Why does it matter?
Delta uses Delta One, Premium Select, Comfort+ and Economy
Will the actually serve edible meals?
Never see this set up on a 737.
the premium Flagship® Suites should feature on AAs entire fleet of B777-300 ER & B787-10 as well . . . B777-200 ER operating international long haul might get the Flagship® Suite as well . . . the new Premium Economy is as good as any Business Class . . . AA is the largest full service airline (including subsidiaries) in the world for a reason . . .
Nice seats. Too bad it's on American Airlines.
I don't even know why I'm watching this if I can't afford it
Can we have a look at the economy product in the narrow sardine can? As usual airlines don't give a damn about passengers, who can't afford to use premium product, but cattle class. I know, I know, I know, you get what you pay for.
The bulk of profits come from premium and first class
AA doesn't invest in anything. They do not even take care of the customer they have today.
MSC has signed, today, a charter agreement for four 777 cargo. That's quite a departure from their usual marine freight business!
BS
I love to give my hard earned heavily taxes 🇺🇸 dollars to 🇺🇸 airlines just customer service is bad and food isnt good either.
Use credit card points
Gonna take too long for them to put this into the fleet. 2024? By then this could look outdated with the newest fad in the airline industry being something else like bunk beds ects.
I doubt it. 2024 5 months away
one of the best things about dude is that he never takes credit for himself when he achieves something . he always respect us, the audience, and his team, and he is always polite in all of his video. we congratulate ourselves on this achievement more to come and everything to come""❤💛🧡💙
Let's we all just appreciate the content this man and his crew makes it's just a masterpiece imagine what's he's gonna doing the future ❤
I hope this channel never ends and keeps spreading happiness.❤😊
they are pretty nice but most of the passengers will fly economy. What about their seats?
Do you really need to guess? If economy customers only buy on price, they are going to be squeezed in.
@@briangasser973😂😂😂
If you’ve seen one economy seat you’ve seen them all 🤷🏾♂️😂
They are not full height doors, that would be to the roof which some airlines do have
I think they mean they're full height when seated, as in they are above the passenger's head height when seated. Some airlines say things are such and such but are only saying that for marketing purposes.
What is the name of the soundtrack you use please?
Cooper Cannell The Plan's Working
I would want those winglets on the premium economy to be able to move out of the way. If you are traveling with someone you know, you will have to lean forward to talk. This will mean the two people sitting next to you will lean forward and then leans back causes them to make all three seats move. Very annoying.
You barely can hear anything on an airplane anyways. Plus I hate sitting around chatty people on flights anyways so maybe that’s a good thing you won’t be able to chat. Flying is for relaxation.
The seat looks like what JetBlue currently has in Mint on their JFK-LHR route. For the A321Ts, the product might be excessive for a 5-6 hour flight. Not sure if it can bring in the revenue similar to Flagship First struggles to sellout the cabin with full fare paxs. I do think the PE product is part of the market that will be good for AA on the transcon routes.
Jetblue folower
Which is good. All interiors should look like this
Look exactly like JetBlue neos mint
I think it’s the same seat
That’s a good thing. All airlines should have the mint suite seats
The cubical in the sky
Maybe first try “improving your customer experience” by getting your planes on time, reducing your heinous overbooking practices, reducing cancellations, bringing back IFE to all/most economy cabins.
Maybe start there first.
WOW! No other word to describe these brand-new seats! Just WOW!!!
Way to go AA, the Flagship Suite is so posh! Looks nicer than the Qatar Q Suite.
Pourquoi American prefere 321xlr, avant c'était mieux 747?
Merci pour votre réponse en français
It's great, but why not start thinking about upgrading economy on all flights. That will boost up sales I would think.
Who miss their plane an their logo.
Looks like American is bringing back IFEs again, instead of BYOE.
All that money and you can't planespot
As long as their service is up to match the hard product, go for it…I didn’t even get a glass of water on a 4 hour flight with AA
Flying J right now. The soft product is pretty good. Just finished my sundae.
You were asleep or high!
@@brawnbenson552 they literally stopped one row ahead of me, shrugged and said “we’re out, we’re changing the cart folks!” Then rolled back to the galley and we’re on their phones for the remaining 2 hours of the flight.
I’m an FA in the Middle East and on 90+ min flights we do full meal service with tea and coffee, I’m sure giving a biscoff cookie is not as hard
I'll like too see how United Airlines will do there 50 Airbus A321XLR's Seats with a Polaris Cabin when there Deliveries take placed.
I hope UA will also have suites in their A321XLRs!
Me too!! I’ve been looking everywhere and can’t find a design
@@RashadKhanAviation2023omg that would be amazing!! If it’s anything close to mint I’ll be excited!!
Who produces the seats?
My question... which routes/air crafts will have to new business class. I will be flying to Europe from DFW Aug 2024, and I sure would like to be in their new business class
These seats look like they are the same model from the new A321LRs Jet blue has on their planes. At least from the premium cabins
And the 787 version looks like a very similar seat to the customized version Qatar airways has on their new 787s, which for the Americas is a really competitive business seat IMO
Are the american airlines 787-9 dreamliners are coming back to LAX for a pre pandemic international flights? Because terminal 4 at LAX are under construction so they get prepare for 2028 olympics.
They should use the new Premium Economy on all OASIS Domestic Long Haul also to replace the horrible Business Class product currently on offer.
I'd call them cubicle-height doors rather than a "full-height" doors. You're terminology suggests a private suite, as some Middle East carriers have.
Are they finally stepping up? Now don't forget your customers in economy with iFE etc
I'm curious as to what function the QR code will serve. I also like how it has the old AA Eagle logo in the middle.
The second suite photo is so confusing because the head position of the seat is closer to the aisle and the photos before and after as well as Simple Flying described it would be the other way around
Huh? Wha? Duh?
My favorite premium seats were the large, wide recliners with extra extra legroom in the 1990s into the 2000s.
Looks like American is following Delta’s footsteps
Very nice, but long haul on a narrow body aircraft? The A320 or A220?
Good for the airline, BAD for the passengers! Yeah, I'm sure 10-12 hours like that would be great. NOT!!
in reality, this plane wont fly farther then maybe 7 hours
Don’t fly economy. Think bigger for yourself
Awesome, looking forward to that.
Robert Isom must love being fancy.
finally a good seat in business class on a long hall a321
but squeeze the rest even more. put 4 people where 3 usually seat.
Really good
I think, we'll see how it plays out.
Not bad! It's about time for AA.
Looks fantastic. Will the A321xlr have an all premium layout? I know that BA had an A320 with all premium from Heathrow to JFK via Shannon that was given the same flight number that concorde had. With the 321xlr, American would have much more premium only flight options to alot more long haul destinations in that layout.
it was a A318 using the old concorde's BA01 callsign and its epic, And I assume not as they couldnt afford to loose customers for some little premium seats in their newest jets I guess?
Looks pretty good
perfect ^^
Very nice
Too bad that regardless of the suite, passengers will still be served disgusting food by grumpy cabin crew.
Bring your own. We understand you make a tasty classic baloney sand.
I'm very happy with this move.
You can't fly premium and wear your wife beater shirt...ya know.
This new seating style is luxurious, lovely, private and replete with IFE gadgetry, but will never be able to replace the luxury and elegance in service we were afforded during the 1960s and '70s.
On the chaise lounge, on the chaise lounge, on the chaise lounge, all day long on the chaise lounge!
A person of culture!
Interiors look new and nice, exterior livery looks ancient..
Unfortunately, they can add all new different customizations, but if the customer service is terrible, no point in flying them.
I think that there has been no consideration for People with Disabilities. What is the consideration individuals for people that transfer from their wheelchair. There needs to be some real changes in thinking if we are going to be truly barrier free for all people.
Is the Accessible Parking on the plane? There is a legal requirement at the airport, why do airlines get to ignore it on planes. With existing, tested and approved technology, a wheelchair space is easily achievable. Slightly reduced profits is not an acceptable reason. Please, if you concur, bring up the question to airline employees on your next flight. If we all start asking questions the grass will grow roots!
If you want more information go to All Wheels Up.
You must never been in an airplane. There’s no accessible parking. You can’t park a damn wheelchair on a plane that’s dangerous. They have working in place to wheel handicap people to there seats first assisted. Then they let the rest of the passengers on. They are met at their destination with another assistant to help them off the plane.
@@_1Brick1_ the current aircraft can be modified to have people in power wheelchairs stay in those chairs. Delta Airlines has completed the design. As for flying, I have been flying for a lot if years. I travel multiple times a year on aircraft. Every other form of transportation has accomplished having power chairs. The Airline industry has push safety and now that is not valid.
Beautiful colours, but wouldn't fly on a xlr
Why not?
