How is this "abstract" and not just a random arrangement of colors?

Hi there! Abstract art is all about expressing emotions through colors, shapes, and patterns without aiming to represent real-world objects. It might look like a random arrangement, but each color and form is chosen to evoke certain feelings or thoughts. Everyone can interpret it differently, which is what makes it so fascinating and unique! Thanks for your comment! 😊🎨

@@AbstractArtChannel Your definition is that of abstract expressionism, not abstract art, and just giving the definition and saying everybody can just see anything in it is a cop out. Jackson Pollock, for example, didn't make his art for you to interpret, but for himself. He didn't randomly put paint to canvas, he immersed himself in the painting. Every action was deliberate. So, how does this apply to your 5 min painting?

@@lLenn2 Thank you for your thoughts! You're right about Jackson Pollock's deliberate approach in abstract expressionism, where every action is intentional and charged with personal meaning. In my 5-minute painting, while the process may seem spontaneous, each brushstroke or color choice is still deliberate in conveying my own emotions and ideas in a condensed timeframe. Abstract art allows for personal interpretation, and my aim is to create a space for viewers to find their own connections and meanings within the work. Your insights are appreciated!

Whether abstract or not, I think the question should simply be: "at first sight do I like it or not?" If yes it means it moved something into you and you can dive deep into it, if not... Well just move on and ignore.
