    Nice sharp stuff from all involved. RIP Mr Hardy, you are sorely missed.

    So true. Jeremy Hardy was always spot on with his sharply observed observations which resulted in him being banned by some establishment broadcasters. RIP

    So on the current system lets just say you get for arguments sake £100 a week. You move onto UC and then you get nothing for 6 weeks.....thats £600 but you can have a hardship "loan" you have to pay back? Why isnt my benefit backdated to counter the fact the DWP are understaffed or mismanaged to get my next payment in a fortnight (that i dont have to psy back)......
    If everyone is on 6 weeks wait then the DWP have saved millions at a stroke because they arent applying it retrospectively. People have no option so go the hardship loan route. And the DWP have the gaul to accuse the claimants of fraud! Pot kettle black.

    Universal credit needs to go i hope it ends like the poll tax did.

      We still have the poll Tax, it's now called Council Tax.

      As long as it is not replaced with any other free money for scumbags I agree

      Chris Conway. If the tories fiddle their way thru brexit intact, they will waste no time attacking the usual suspects with relish.

    I'm not bothering with universal credit because they will undoubtedly screw it up and will have to pay it back anyway. Just like they did with working tax credits.

      Wish every one took your view , and didn't claim these things it is a form of theft from decent hardworking people to pay benefits to the feckless in the first place

    • @richardwilson9035
      @richardwilson9035 5 лет назад

      west brit Presumably you're just stirring things up to get attention. Many claimants ARE 'decent hardworking people'. There's a huge range of individual circumstances which lead to people having to rely on benefits, though I appreciate this may be too hard for those who swallow the tabloid generalisations about 'scroungers.'

    • @westbrit1020
      @westbrit1020 5 лет назад +1

      @Richard Why give attention if that's what you think , not a very logical response . I wish the Media did try to influence public opinion in the way you suggest , in fact every problem is always meet a call for yet more State spending , whilst some folk due to illness or extreme bad luck might be helped with State charirty without negative outcomes . The ludicrous situation we have is it is life style choice to live on other peoples money . For years it was the left who bought support with other peoples money , now the right have started tell the Lazy Morons that nasty forigners are getting all the presents , thus a lot of council house scum turned out to vote for Brexit .

    Dead Hypocrite - this man railed against the rich, bankers and privatisation - Jeremy’s partner, whom he shared a house with, makes her money placing the super rich in to top jobs in tax efficient rappers - she works with private equity companies, international banks, tax dodging silicon valley companies, privatised rail and utility related companies the list goes on - her previous companies placed workers in zero hours contracts - socialist Jeremy was a landlord and director of a property company funded partly funded on inherited wealth. He used his personal wealth to fund bail payments for members of terrorist organisations subject to international arrest warrants. RIP all the victims or IRA, Hamas and Hezbollah terrorism.
