***** jay Z's song was superior... "Soon You'll Understand" is moving, this is dope, but more so because of the 'hold u down" running throughout and the Nina Sky assist... Lyrically I would never put them in the same sentence. This is a producer/MC song, so never think that the beat isn't the star of the show

I FINALLY FOUND THIS SONG AFTER SO LONG. I’ve been trying to find this song for like 8 years, from when my dad and tios would play it in the car. The beat was the only thing I could remember because it was so chilling and haunting to me as a kid. I’m so fxcking glad I found it, it feels like I’ve lifted a long time thing off my mental lol. It somehow holds some nostalgia tho, because it was one of the first tracks that had an instrumental that really hit me and made me feel some sort of way. I’m so stupid for not thinking it would be an alchemist track tho, because my dad and tios are big fans of him. I can finally feel at ease with that little memory I had.

Im sure I'm not the only one who feels this......
This music or better yet this era of music and these times were truly golden. I was a late teenager when some of the greatest hits and artists of hiphop existed. The nostalgia runs so deep. I am now 32 years old and I can't even explain what I would give to go back to these days, where music brought people together and you'd meet your significant other through physical interaction and proper communication. But I think the most painful part of listening to old school music is that.........these days will NEVER come back and there is no rewind nor reply button to our lives. So to all of us that lived the best times of your lives during this era. Cheers and God bless!

I'll always vibe to this song cause when it came out I was 12 and had just started listening to hip hop on a regular basis. Naturally my Nigerian father had an aversion to that and told me to stop listening to hip hop. But you can't really enforce that cause whenever he left I would put on the TV and indulge. But one day he came home and caught me listening to this on 106 and Park and said I thought I told you to stop listening to this music and so forth but at the end we came to an agreement and I've been a hip hop head since.
