But you can simply drag and drop your Illustrator files (must be saved as version 8.0, otherwise it won't work) directly into 3Ds Max, where they will be converted into editable splines that you can extrude and edit. Exactly these steps would be the content of the tutorial you are requesting. Just try doing that in the meantime and wait for the tutorial to be published sometime in the future.
