It's been known for years Rockets use Gleague for young players development, they actually started that trend back in Morey days. Last year Amen did it too and he's a monster now. Gleague is great to polish their weaknesses and add more to their game.
Isaiah Hartenstein was G-league champion and finals MVP for the Rockets G-league team. It's too bad that Mike D'antoni was the Rockets' coach then, and he don't play players over 6'8
The Rockets also need to send Reed Sheppard to the G-league. Aaron Holiday is playing great and more like an actual point guard this year so we should let him have those backup point minutes. Reed was 0-5 in the last game and looks like he just can't get in a rythem when it comes to shooting. While it would be nice to have him keep learning as much as he can behind FVV, I think the severe lack of playing time will also hurt him like Cam. As you said, injuries happen so I have no doubt they will both be back and be needed by this team during the season and likely even the offseason. 82 games is ALOT. They will be needed at some point, but if they aren't ready it will not work out too well.
Cam is 5.6% on 3 for the year, Reed Sheppard is 36.7% with better playmaking potential and defense than Cam. He needs to be playing these minutes over both Holiday and Cam for sure, until Cam can figure it out on offense. I don't see Aaron Holiday or Whitmore being part of the future of the Rockets at this point, unless Whitmore turns it around offensively I would assume he gets traded. This is why Reed Sheppard is getting playing time, Udoka and the FO trust him for our future.
Rockets fan of 30 years here. Watched the back to back title runs. 😎. Very good analysis. I agree with all of your points. The Rockets are loaded with young, athletic and talented players. The question is can one of them emerge as a true mvp caliber player that you generally need to win titles. It’s a lot of fun to watch. They are also armed with a treasure chest of first rounders in the upcoming years. The rockets are here to stay. First time watching your video. Keep up the good work sir!
i appreciate that! glad you enjoyed! i hope they become a bigger story so we can get can more access, i wonder what the atmosphere is like what inside competition
Buddy, there are deficiencies in your comments about Alperen Sengun. You constantly talk about others and praise them. But the pillar of this team is Alperen Şengün. I don't understand the logic of saying "It could have been better" and not giving the praise he deserves to a man who carried the team both offensively and defensively and had a triple double in the last game. I think the ones who need to be better are the shooters with terrible shooting percentages. Şengün can make a triple double in every match, but he cannot achieve this because of the shooters. Yes, Sengun can be better, he has the potential to do so, but even in his current form, he is the Rockets' most valuable weapon on offense and defense. Is it ok?
you’re supposed to hold your best players accountable, i said he was playing great, saying he can play at higher level, is the upmost respect. To reach their full potential, someone is gonna have to play at an mvp level, sengun and jalen green is the closest we’ve seen to that, hence why i said they could play even better then what we’re seeing
Alperen is without a doubt- superstar of this team and no one in this team close to him, are you sure that you are watching Rockets? This is like making a video about Nuggets saying nothing about Jokic or making a video about Bucks saying nothing about Giannis... all players you are saying are prospects, but Sengun is the leader and mvp caliber player of this team. I respect your video and effort, but making Rockets video without emphasizing Sengun is funny... Alperen is the main reason and brain of Rockets success...without him, this team has zero offense.. Jalen can not he close to.Sengun with his inconsistency...
@ brother jokic is averaging 29 14 11 on 56 56 84, sengun is averaging 17 11 4 on 46%, which is like i said decent, but he is capable of much more. the rockets success this season has been more team orientation rather than some player carrying at a superstar level. what are you talking about?
@@ChampionTalk313 My friend, the most important weapon of the Rockets is "team play", we all agree on this, but the most important part of this weapon is Sengun. Yes, we all know you can do better, but you should at least mention the great work he does! You even praise the brick makers, but when it comes to Sengun, you just say "it could be better!" This isn't fair.

Rockets are going to have to get rid of some eventually which is the reality. They’re going to have to decide who is really their core. This is the year they have to figure who’s their players.
@@ChampionTalk313 I think we will end up just trading them for round picks and expiring bad contracts before the end of the year. Free up some money for next year to sign our rookies
It's absolutely unfair! Cam Whitmore, Amen Thompson, Tari Eason and Reed Sheppard ON THE BENCH!
LETS 🚀 GO!

most definitely
