Mr. 96 if I remember cirrectly both the top two on the worst list werent even dishonorable mentions. I honestly like that he didnt make it so predictable even if the billie eilish was expected.
Mark's relationship with Post Malone over the years has become a lot of fun to watch. I daresay that it has become even more interesting than ToddInTheShadows and Bruno Mars!
@brandon roberts That's true. I do think his comedy can be weak a good amount of the time and his reviewing could be much better. He's had some hard to watch episodes in his lineup.
"Dancing with a Stranger" was easily my favorite hit of the year, and one of my favorite songs of the year. I've never been a huge fan of Sam Smith or Normani before, but their performances are great on it, and this song alone was enough to make me excited to see where Normani goes. And the production is just immaculate to me, not in a way that's particularly exciting to describe, but in a way I can't deny. "Truth Hurts" would be a close second.
My top ten best for songs appearing on 2019 year end hot 100 (and not previous years): 1. High Hopes 2. God's Country 3. Be Alright 4.Shallow 5. Beautiful People 6. Talk 7. You Say 8. Eastside 9. Breathin 10. Circles Honorable Mentions: Murder on my Mind, Pop Out, When the Party's Over, Trampoline, Dancing with a Stranger, Sunflower
I like your list quite a bit, but this would be mine: HM Bad Guy- Billie Eilish Panini- Lil Nas X If I Can't Have You- Shawn Mendes Old Town Road- Lil Nas X Sunflower- Post Malone List proper 10. Without Me- Halsey 9. Act Up- City Girls 8. Close to Me- Ellie Goulding 7. Speechless- Dan + Shay 6. You Say- Lauren Daigle 5. Hot Girl Summer- Megan Thee Stallion 4. Sweet But Psycho- Ava Max 3. Circles- Post Malone 2. When the Party's Over- Billie Eilish 1. Truth Hurts- Lizzo Favorite Non-hit Want You In My Room- Carly Rae Jepsen
@@NotsoseriousNick Eastside came out in 2018 and was eligible for that year. Since he doesn't allow previous entries in his best of list, his #10 here is considered ineligible by comparison.
This was such a great list Mark. I love how you really captured how the music this year was wierd and inconsistent, while still being great. This was A+ work.
NICE list heres mine 10. Thank u, next 9. Sunflower 8. Shallow 7. Gods country 6. Bury a friend 5. Mo Bamba (stfu) 4. Better 3. Sicko mode 2. A lot 1. When the partys over
Tip for next year and onward: have a rule where if a song ranked on both the current and previous year's YE list but placed higher on the current year's list, it's eligible.
That thumbnail... 'Wow.', 'Old Town Road', 'Better', 'bad guy', and 'bury a friend' seem like they're all making the list, and 'when the party's over' is definitely #1. Before we go and have the exact same list, here's mine: 10. 'Sweet but Psycho' by Ava Max 9. 'Truth Hurts' by Lizzo 8. 'Hot Girl Summer' by Megan Thee Stallion ft. Nicki Minaj & Ty Dolla $ign 7. 'bad guy' by Billie Eilish 6. 'Dancing with a Stranger' by Sam Smith & Normani 5. 'Old Town Road' by Lil Nas X ft. Billy Ray Cyrus 4. 'Better' by Khalid 3. 'Shallow' by Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper 2. Surprised 'Hot Girl Summer' nor 'Beautiful People' made it here. Next year should be interesting as 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' might actually make the Year-End list (given that it's about to get a third week at #1 on the Hot 100), while 'Dance Monkey' seems to have confirmed its place in next year's video already!
@@AvaMaxVideos Mark seems to like it a lot though, praising it both on Billboard Breakdown & calling it one of the best tracks on 'No.6 Collaborations Project' when he reviewed that album (which he gave a 6/10 overall).
I have nothing negative to say. Was a glorious selection and expertly defended and work shown. Even the Baby Shark which was a defense I could only tip my hat to. ;) You are brilliant.

Sunflower- Post Malone & Swae Lee 1. Lover- Taylor Swift I have no idea why I like Post Malone so much
@Tejas Kalyan I wouldn’t call either song great (Panic! and J. Cole have both done better) but I still enjoy them and have them as honorable Mentions, but like ARTV said I would take those songs over most of this year’s hits any day
Tejas Kalyan What do you mean? I thought he was pretty clear about how lyrically self-serving, hypocritical and smarmy it is and how the beat is leaden grey garbage, all of which I happen to agree with even if I wouldn't have ranked it nearly so high myself.
@@ConvincingPeople How people who hate middle child probably view the song: Middle child, a supposed "takedown" to the fake ones rising up, promotes how J is so "real" whilst flexing and being extremely egotistic, yet HYPOCRITIC on the song, because if you look in the details J takes elements of the newcomers he tries to take down and shamelessly adds to the dong to proclaimed a supposedly earned superiority.
As for my personal list, here it is. I’m including songs that are projected to get caught between years, and my honorable mentions are non-hits that I think deserve a shout out 25. Mía-Bad Bunny ft. Miley Cyrus -Glimmer-Marianas Trench (because Only the Lonely Survive and Echoes of You weren’t released as official singles) -Juice-Lizzo -Intro-DaBaby -Motivation-Normani -BLOW-Ed Sheeran, Chris Stapleton & Bruno Mars
@Mike’s Music Reviews I’m still really upset that Marianas Trench never crossed over to the US, considering the huge success Canada had with exporting acts in that vein like Avril and Simple Plan, why didn’t that happen with them?
Bring Back Kim Possible, Animated Obviously bad marketing and bad taste. Their label didn’t release Masterpiece Theater to the US until a year and half after it had come out, and they didn’t promote a single song to US radio until One Love in late 2015, by which point Canada apparently decided to stop giving them hits too. And American audiences decided to not give them the time of day after that, even after letting them get on the Billboard 200 with Astoria.
@Mike’s Music Reviews From the way that you just described 604 Records, they sound like the Canadian version of Fueled By Ramen, with their terrible and horribly mismanaged marketing/promotion
Here’s mine: 10. God’s Country 9. If I Can’t Have You 8. Suge 7. Old Town Road/Panini 6. Better 5. Sweet But Psycho 4. Truth Hurts 3. Bury a Friend/When The Party’s Over 2. Breathin 1. Sunflower

Shallow Really deserved it. It Was such aGreat moment in the movie and a Vocal Showcase of Lady Gaga. Also Billie Eilish Was Wonderful this year. I Actually Would put Hot Girl Summer, At Least in the Honorable Mention. Megan has Such a Powerful personality and Flaw.
My Top 10 Hit Songs of 2019 10. "Beautiful People" by Ed Sheeran and Khalid 9. "Sweet but Psycho" by Ava Max 8. "Better" by Khalid 7. "Thank u, next" by Ariana Grande 6. You know, if he didn't completely contradict himself later on in the album, 'Beautiful People' by Ed Sheeran might have been one of my favorite hits of the decade. It's still a fantastic stand-alone track, though. Really rich production with great melodies and Ed Sheeran giving one of the most raw and vulnerable vocal performances of his career.
My list: 1.) breathin 2.) sunflower 3.) thank u, next 4.) pure water 5.) a lot 6.) when the party’s over 7.) goodbyes 8.) shallow 9.) suge 10.) old town road

28:43 called it! In a live stream where he was answering viewers questions, I asked him what his favorite Billie Eilish song was. he responded with "that would be telling". I knew WTPO was his favorite, and I was right!
Now for my thoughts on the songs on this list: HM1: It's a good song, but I didn't really know about it. HM2: I still don't like Post Malone. He's done way worse, but this is still meh to me. Also Young Thug. He exists. HM3: It has its problems, but Ellie Goulding is an amazing vocalist, and the lyrics work out pretty well. HM4: My number 1 favorite song of the year in my opinion actually. It's got the mainstream appeal, and the satire is genius. It may seem odd that I like this over her other songs, but I do. HM5: Man, am I so glad this song became a hit ever since I heard this on BB. My third favorite song of the year. HM6: I personally like Eastside more, but this is alright. HM7: Still don't like Post Malone. HM8: I'm not surprised at this. 10: A song that gets me to praise Khalid and like Halsey simultaneously is an accomplishment. Technically, this song was on 2018's year end, but I let it slide for my list, so I'm fine with it being on yours. 9: Oh wow! We both have this as our number 9 pick! A surprisingly fun song for sure. 8: I never heard this one. 7: ...I'm one of the only people who loathes this song, am I? I cannot stand the lyrics whatsoever, and the production is not good. I get your points, but I still disagree with them. 6: Another song I never heard of. 5: I'm just glad Drake wasn't that bad this year. 4: And another song where we have this song on the same place on our list! Those sound effects...horror movies wish they could be this scary. 3: Even if I never heard of this, I can already tell that this song outpaces everything on Kanye West's album. 2: The third time we've had the same song on the same place! This soundtrack hit is a masterpiece, no question. 1: Being the "BEST OF THE WEEK" song made this one really obvious, but you've already surprised me with the top 2 songs on your worst list, so I'm fine with that. As for the song itself, I'm one of the few people who likes it, but doesn't love it. An HM for me. Only pick I outright disagree with is number 7, but other than that, fantastic list. Happy new decade, folks!
My list: 10. God's Country 9. If I Can't Have You 8. Beautiful 7. bad guy 6. Sunflower 5. You Say (despite Sean's thrashing of it) 4. Dancing With A Stranger 3. Senorita 2. Lover (why did this have to miss the year end?) 1. Sweet But Psycho HM's: Beautiful People, Shallow and breathin Robbed from the year end: Boy With Luv, Dance Monkey, Uproar, Never Really Over, Earfquake and Take What You Want
My Top 10: 10: Dancing With a Stranger-Sam Smith ft. Normani. 9: Liar-Camila Cabello. 8: ME!-Taylor Swift ft. Brendon Urie. 7: Lover-Taylor Swift Remix w/ Shawn Mendes/Lover-Taylor Swift (original). 6: Nice To Meet Ya-Niall Horan. 5: Without Me-Halsey. 4: If I Can't Have You-Shawn Mendes. 3: Nothing Breaks Like a Heart-Mark Ronson ft. Miley Cyrus. 2: 10,000 Hours-Dan+Shay ft. Justin Bieber. 1: Walk Me Home-P!NK. Honorable Mentions: Senorita-Shawn Mendes ft. Camila Cabello. Bury a Friend-Billie Eilish. You Need To Calm Down-Taylor Swift. Beautiful People-Ed Sheeran ft. DJ Khalid.

The Git Up - Blanco Brown 4. Sucker - Jonas Brothers 3. Shallow - Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper 2. Be Alright - Dean Lewis 1. Circles - Post Malone Overall 10. Well Done - The Afters 9. Sucker - Jonas Brothers 8. Shallow - Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper 7. I’ve Been Waiting - Lil Peep 6. Bad Liar - Imagine Dragons 5. Be Alright - Dean Lewis 4. Nice to Meet Ya - Niall Horan 3. Circles - Post Malone 2. Good Things Fall Apart - Illenium feat. Jon Bellion 1. God Only Knows - For King & Country
Yay! Finally, justice for "Sweet But Psycho." I was hoping to see a Lizzo song or "Sunflower" on here but great list, I like almost every song on here... Mark has taste.
Also, my list 10. Money in the grave: This song shrunk on me, but if drake is on a good beat, with a good hook, I'll probably like the song. I like the Zion bars btw 9. Murder on my mind: This song is just so raw and disturbing, and i like music that does those things while still having one the best hooks of the year. 8. Wow: this song is super dumb, but in a fun, raucous way. Super qoutable too. He calls himself a *big boy*, and the grandma flex is my favorite bar of the year. 7. Shallow: lady gaga and bradley Cooper both sound great, and the theming is great, its this low because its sort of conventional. Its not as interesting to talk or think about. Means it will probably grow on my though. 7. Better: this goes into the "what if we made closer but not bad" catagory that I feel like a lot of music has been in since. Its nastolgic, melancholic, but overwhelmingly joyous. Big emotions is what im saying 6. The london: say what you will about jcole and thugger, but they can string bars together, and sound good doing it. A pretty good travis scott hook ties the song together. Electric sliding into the dms and "got your broad in the garage eating semen" are some of my favorite. 5. Swervin: I am obvertly cheating by counting the veysel remix, but i dont care, i need to talk about it. Boogie is pretty good, especially on the hook, and the beat acceptable. But it gets on the list because your replacing tekashi with some rando flowing his ass off in german. 4. Sweet but Psycho: Sbs is reminds me a lot of lights by Ellie goulding, one my favorite hits of the decade. There is much much less there, but it has the same slightly disturbed pop maxamism which is crack for me. 3. Bury a friend: Mark basically covered it with this one. Its wierd and abrasive and catchy. Those are my 3 favorite things. 2. Old town road: part of why i like otr so much is how important it sounds. It was everywhere, and everyone was listening to it to either gawk, or for "the meme" or whatever. But the song underneath was creaky and diy in all the best ways. Also, may i remind you all to listen to the other 2019 horse song, Stupid Horse by 100 gecs. 1. When the parties over: obvious pick is obvious. There is just so much there. Everything Mark said. 0. Hey look ma i made it: alright, so this song doesnt make the list, but i like it a lot all the same. Mostly because the entire thing feels bitter and sarcastic in a way that works for me where it didnt for Mark.
BABY SHARK DO DO DO DO Edit 1: Eastside doesn’t qualify for 2019? Edit 2: I’m not surprised that Sweet But Psycho made it, but I didn’t think it would be higher than an honorable mention Edit 3: Murder on my Mind? Controversial. I agree with you though Edit 4: okay I know you like this one, but it really does shock me to see Money in the Grave on the list, especially this high Edit 5: finally something I got right. Bury a Friend is right about where I thought it would be. Edit 6: talk about a song growing on you. I’m all on board, because I love this song Edit 7: IN THE SHALLA-SHALLALOW Edit 8: most obvious #1 of the decade. It absolutely deserves it.
Predictions: 1. When the Party's Over 2. Shallow 3. Bury a Friend 4. God's Country 5. Dancing With a Stranger 6. Hot Girl Summer 7. Money in the Grave 8. Old Town Road 9. Rumor 10. Pure Water Honourable Mentions: • Pop Out • Bad Guy • Walk Me Home • Better • Wow • Beautiful Crazy • Sweet But Psycho
My Ranking Of every song that topped Mark’s 2010s worst lists from worst to most tolerable 1. Birthday Cake 2. Body Like A Backroad 3. U.O.E.N.O 4. Freaky Friday 5. Deuces 6. Dear Future Husband 7. Bottoms Up 8. Treat You Better 9. Lighters 10. Hey Look Ma, I Made It (Only song on this list that I actually enjoy, although I think Panic! has done so much better, I still think that it’s one of the better tracks from Pray For The Wicked)
NiCe LiSt hErE’s MiNe 10. Dancing With a Stranger 9. Without Me 8. When the party’s over 7. Bury a friend 6. Beautiful People 5. Bad guy 4. Thank u, next 3. Breathin 2. ME! 1. You Need To Calm Down I literally came up with this on a whim lmao so it’s probably not totally accurate but yes Taylor Swift is queen
Happy to see “close to me” in the honorable mentions- as one of the songs that made me happy when it popped up on the radio, I’m glad I’m not the only one that liked it in spite of its inherent flaws and relative decline in quality in comparison to Ellie Goulding’s previous work.
My top 10 list of the best songs of 2019: 10. Me!-While not an amazing song, Me! is a decent tune that has an amazing music video, and as someone who loathes LWYMMD, I love how this song just completely revokes that song from who Taylor is. 9. Hey Look Ma I Made It- I know many people hate this song, including Spectrum himself, but I don't. It has an interesting, experimental charm, with a catchy melody, interesting symbolism, and it's a fantastic showcase of Brendon Urie's likability. Also, I love puppets. 8. Lalala- This song is basically Billie Elish's Bad Guy, but for people like me, who aren't a fan of her gothic and creepy style of surrealism. The lyrics are bizzare, the tune is catchy, I love the kids show aesthetic of the music video, and Y2K and bbno$ have fantastic chemistry. 7. Hollywood- Unlike Someone You Loved, which shows Lewis Capaldi at his absolute worse, Hollywood is really good. It's an incredibly sensitive, sweet, charming song, and Capaldi's voice sounds less like he has a stuffed throat. Thanks to Cicabeot1 for introducing me to it. 6. Robbery- I really like this song. The melody is nice and relaxing, the lyrics are decent, and JuiceWRLD's droning voice really works with this type of song, especially with the line "I Don't wanna leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeave. I ju wanna beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" 5. Fuck, I'm Lonely- Lauv is an incredibly underrated artist. He has the ability to take ugly sounds, and make them sound beautiful. And nowhere is that more evident than in Fuck, I'm Lonely. It's incredibly catchy, melodic, and amazing. On top of that, this song makes Anne-Marie, who I don't hate, but in every song I've seen her in she sounds awful, sound REALLY good. It is an extreme bop, that is by far the most underrated song of 2019. 4. If I Can't Have You- I was floored when I found out that this was a Shawn Mendes song. The same Shawn Mendes that made Stitches and Treat You Better made this slice of musical heaven. The lyrics are great, Mendes is charismatic, and dear god does every second of this song sound amazing. I hope Mendes writes more songs like this in the future. 3. Talk- Khalid is like a reverse Anne Marie. While I'm not that familiar with Khalid, every song I heard him in (except Beautiful People, which I personally found to be kind of boring), he sounds really good. And Talk is definitely his best song. Like Robbery, Talk has a really relaxing melody but has the added bonus of an amazing, poppy melody, and Khalid's harmonic voice. 2. The Git Up- The minute I heard this song on Sean Fey Wolf's ranking of the 2019 billboard (he listed it as 41, for those curious), I fell in love with it. It's incredibly corny, silly, and fun. It's also an incredibly catchy, fun boppy dance song that sounds absolutely amazing. 1. I Don't Care- I love I Don't Care with a flaming passion. The music video is cool, quirky, and trippy, Ed and Justin both sound awesome on it, it's catchy as hell, and I relate extremely hard to its message of nonconformity. I will never understand the hate this song gets, and to quote the title "I Don't Care." HM-Old Town Road- This is a really weird song. It has a bizarre groove, and it's an incredibly weird team-up. But it is an enjoyable song, with a good beat, and an old school charm. HM-Better Now- I have mixed feelings on Post Malone. At his worst, he's incredibly boring, and whatever the hell Fall Apart was. But at his best, he writes really cool, chill melodies. And while Better Now isn't nearly as good as Sunflower or Psycho, it is still awesome. It's an extremely good bop of a song, that showcases PM's strengths.
My best list would probably be 10. Truth Hurts - Lizzo 9. Middle Child - J. Cole (sorry) 8. Old Town Road - Lil Nas X ft. Billy Ray Cyrus 7. Worth It - YK Osiris 6. I was like “WTF!?” when I saw “Bad Guy” as your honourable mention... until I saw “Bury a Friend” was higher up, and then I simmered down and agreed; that is a better song but both are great xD Not gonna lie: this year kinda underwhelmed me so meh. I really enjoyed the hell outta last year though (sidenote: I remember you put Timberlake’s and Stapleton’s “Say Something” as your song of the year which REALLY caught me by surprise!)

Baby Shark > J. Cole
wbk
Andre Alampay I mean. Like. That's just a given. "Baby Shark" has personality.
Definitely a lot of surprises in here since Mark wasn’t so high on some of them initially during Billboard BREAKDOWN.
Mr. 96 if I remember cirrectly both the top two on the worst list werent even dishonorable mentions. I honestly like that he didnt make it so predictable even if the billie eilish was expected.
I knew Sweet But Psycho would grow on him. It's the sort of pop song he gravitates towards.
My GF said are you watching “Hey there folks” 😂
Mark's relationship with Post Malone over the years has become a lot of fun to watch. I daresay that it has become even more interesting than ToddInTheShadows and Bruno Mars!
Ive never like Post Malone, This year two of his songs are in my Top 5. Circles and Sunflower. Not mentioned here.
Let's not forget that he said on Billboard Breakdown that nobody cared about "the new Post Malone album". That album was called Stoney.
Honestly, Mark has always been a better reviewer than Todd...just saying...
@brandon roberts Do you mean that for what I said or for what @Rhythm Wyvern said?
@brandon roberts That's true. I do think his comedy can be weak a good amount of the time and his reviewing could be much better. He's had some hard to watch episodes in his lineup.
I’m not a country fan and even I had to admit gods country was amazing
"Dancing with a Stranger" was easily my favorite hit of the year, and one of my favorite songs of the year. I've never been a huge fan of Sam Smith or Normani before, but their performances are great on it, and this song alone was enough to make me excited to see where Normani goes. And the production is just immaculate to me, not in a way that's particularly exciting to describe, but in a way I can't deny. "Truth Hurts" would be a close second.
It’s my favorite too! Normani harmonizing towards the end of the song is the best 3 seconds in pop music for me!
She kills it on that ending. That high note instantly made me a fan.
Owen W Such a beautiful voice!
😂👍
Owen W I dunno man Sam Smiths voice is just the fucking worst to me
All the honorable mentions really surprised me. Mark is really a versatile and amazing critic
Just love how the icons fade with a heart.
Baby Shark makes me want to die, but I can’t help RESPECT the fact it made the billboard year 100
My favorites that weren't included were: Truth Hurts, A Lot, Circles, Breathin, and Hot Girl Summer
Breathin was more 2018, but it was still an amazing song
@@fuffina breathin didn't make the 2018 year end but it made the 2019 one
11:16 yeah, that was a Todd-level bad prediction.
Baby Shark just shook me to my core
Wow you weren't joking
My top ten best for songs appearing on 2019 year end hot 100 (and not previous years):
1. High Hopes
2. God's Country
3. Be Alright
4.Shallow
5. Beautiful People
6. Talk
7. You Say
8. Eastside
9. Breathin
10. Circles
Honorable Mentions: Murder on my Mind, Pop Out, When the Party's Over, Trampoline, Dancing with a Stranger, Sunflower
Be Alright is terrible, like on a purely sonic and technical level it's dull and monotonous, and Dean Lewis has a terrible voice on it.
There’s some unpopular picks here. I like it.
Mike’s Music Reviews haha thanks!
I like your list quite a bit, but this would be mine:

Want You In My Room- Carly Rae Jepsen
I prefer Good As Hell
So, since Eastside doesn't count, does that mean that Baby Shark is actually your number 10?
He mentioned in the livestream that Wow would make the list then.
Wait, what did I miss?
@@NotsoseriousNick Eastside came out in 2018 and was eligible for that year. Since he doesn't allow previous entries in his best of list, his #10 here is considered ineligible by comparison.
No, because the Honorable Mentions were not in chronological order.
Glad someone finally stuck their neck out for Murder On My Mind. Such a heavy experience but such a good one.
I really don't like Murder On My Mind, but I respect your opinion, and I can relate to liking a song most people hate.
This was such a great list Mark. I love how you really captured how the music this year was wierd and inconsistent, while still being great. This was A+ work.

7. Gods country
6. Bury a friend
5. Mo Bamba (stfu)

1. When the partys over
wow i can't believe you put baby shark at #1
Even if it isn't on this list, "Don't Mine At Night" is forever my #1
7 years in a row now
Tip for next year and onward: have a rule where if a song ranked on both the current and previous year's YE list but placed higher on the current year's list, it's eligible.
That honestly seems like a reasonable rule especially if it grew on you throughout the year
You cant really predict thosr tho
Well, that was quick. The worst list just came out yesterday.
Maybe he made it some time ago
Andy See ikr
That thumbnail... 'Wow.', 'Old Town Road', 'Better', 'bad guy', and 'bury a friend' seem like they're all making the list, and 'when the party's over' is definitely #1.

Half expected the legendary beanie and white vest combo when you said baby shark 😂
Dance Monkey already made my top 3 this year because of my custom ruleset.
Piran Delves beautiful people is not good
@@AvaMaxVideos I disagree on that notion.
@@AvaMaxVideos Mark seems to like it a lot though, praising it both on Billboard Breakdown & calling it one of the best tracks on 'No.6 Collaborations Project' when he reviewed that album (which he gave a 6/10 overall).

Mark is one of the most straight edge critics out there so to see this best list turn out this wild is emblematic of how bizarre 2019 was.
WOW, SOMEONE WHO AGREES WITH ME ON MURDER ON MY MIND
Expected it to be on the worst.... so glad the best meme of 2019 made it on to the best list.

Lover and take what you want weren’t on the year end hot 100 (or else they’d have been on my list too).
Pfeltsy Oh really? Shame on you America
ILLUMINATI CONFIRMED okay so I like Lover, but why #1?
I’m gonna be honest, I prefer the top 2 of Mark’s worst list to most of the songs on here, that top 3 is spot on though
@@ConvincingPeople How people who hate middle child probably view the song:
Middle child, a supposed "takedown" to the fake ones rising up, promotes how J is so "real" whilst flexing and being extremely egotistic, yet HYPOCRITIC on the song, because if you look in the details J takes elements of the newcomers he tries to take down and shamelessly adds to the dong to proclaimed a supposedly earned superiority.
I'm SO happy that God's Country grew on you. It's easily Blake's best song in years. If it wasn't for Bury A Friend, it would be my SOTY.
As for my personal list, here it is. I’m including songs that are projected to get caught between years, and my honorable mentions are non-hits that I think deserve a shout out

The L-iteral One If it’s worth any consolation, Todd in the Shadows didn’t like it either
you're definitely not alone on loathing sweet but psycho. i can't stand it, don't know how it became a hit.
Holy shit thank you I thought I was the only one that really liked "Money in the Grave" it wouldn't make my list proper but it's probably my #11 or 12
This is easily the most controversial list you’ve made and I love it
Bold choice to name Lil Dicky's Earth the best song of the year.
The video isn't even out yet, bro.
But let's be real. It's definitely making the best list.
It wasn't on the year end list though
@@imariellagual It's just _that_ special, that it's beyond mere notoriety.
kinda surprised breathin wasn't featured but great list nonetheless
List month continues, gotta say I respect your opinion even if only vibe with 90% of the songs here.

1. Sweet But Psycho
HM's: Beautiful People, Shallow and breathin
Robbed from the year end: Boy With Luv, Dance Monkey, Uproar, Never Really Over, Earfquake and Take What You Want
Sweet but psycho is a bop
Bury a friend is probably my favorite hit of 2019, honestly it was a glorious year for some of my favorite artists.

1. God Only Knows - For King & Country
My jaw was dropped the entire time
Yay! Finally, justice for "Sweet But Psycho." I was hoping to see a Lizzo song or "Sunflower" on here but great list, I like almost every song on here... Mark has taste.
Billie Eilish dominated this list ♥️
Happy Holidays Mark 🎄🎁
Also, my list
10. Money in the grave: This song shrunk on me, but if drake is on a good beat, with a good hook, I'll probably like the song. I like the Zion bars btw
Big emotions is what im saying
Are you literally 12?
@@krisdaschwab912 What's your problem?! Stop being an asshole.
ahh i set up my notifications and was waiting all day and then i frickin!! fell asleep!
BABY SHARK DO DO DO DO
Edit 1: Eastside doesn’t qualify for 2019?
Edit 2: I’m not surprised that Sweet But Psycho made it, but I didn’t think it would be higher than an honorable mention
Edit 3: Murder on my Mind? Controversial. I agree with you though
Edit 4: okay I know you like this one, but it really does shock me to see Money in the Grave on the list, especially this high
Edit 5: finally something I got right. Bury a Friend is right about where I thought it would be.
Edit 6: talk about a song growing on you. I’m all on board, because I love this song
Edit 7: IN THE SHALLA-SHALLALOW
Edit 8: most obvious #1 of the decade. It absolutely deserves it.
I'm surprised that A Lot didn't make it, good list agree with the #1
Eastside debuted at 77 on the year-end hot 100 for 2018
Predictions:
1. When the Party's Over

4. God's Country
5. Dancing With a Stranger
6. Hot Girl Summer
7. Money in the Grave
8. Old Town Road
9. Rumor
10. Pure Water
Honourable Mentions:
• Pop Out
• Bad Guy
• Walk Me Home
• Better
• Wow

3. U.O.E.N.O
4. Freaky Friday

6. Dear Future Husband
7. Bottoms Up
8. Treat You Better
9. Lighters
10. Hey Look Ma, I Made It (Only song on this list that I actually enjoy, although I think Panic! has done so much better, I still think that it’s one of the better tracks from Pray For The Wicked)
Good list! I agreed with almost everything. I too prefer the best lists to the worst lists.
I literally got a Luke Bryan ad on this video.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who liked "Sweet But Psycho," "Close To Me," "Wow," and "Goodbyes."

10. Dancing With a Stranger
9. Without Me
8. When the party’s over
7. Bury a friend
6. Beautiful People
5. Bad guy
4. Thank u, next
3. Breathin
2. ME!
1. You Need To Calm Down
I literally came up with this on a whim lmao so it’s probably not totally accurate but yes Taylor Swift is queen
Very nice list! I love every song in your top 5. However I would've inserted Sucker or Truth Hurts somewhere.
Eastside was actually #77 on the Year End Hot 100 list of 2018, but it was way more popular in 2019, so I don't mind it being on this year's list.
Happy to see “close to me” in the honorable mentions- as one of the songs that made me happy when it popped up on the radio, I’m glad I’m not the only one that liked it in spite of its inherent flaws and relative decline in quality in comparison to Ellie Goulding’s previous work.
My top 10 list of the best songs of 2019:
I ju wanna beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee"
I will never understand the hate this song gets, and to quote the title "I Don't Care."
HM-Old Town Road- This is a really weird song.
My list in no order:
Bury A Friend
When The Party's Over
God's Country
Shallow
Bad Guy
Breathin

Not gonna lie: this year kinda underwhelmed me so meh. I really enjoyed the hell outta last year though (sidenote: I remember you put Timberlake’s and Stapleton’s “Say Something” as your song of the year which REALLY caught me by surprise!)
