What do we do if we want an object in the foreground? And what if the object is multi-layered? I am trying to make a FPS, answering my question would be greatly appreciated ;)
okay quik question , if i make a whole background with the 3d material and objects on it like you did , would i not be able to just capture the object , emit, capture again then dorp it in the bacgkround ? rather then having do to it for each little detail ?
I'm interested... Do physics work in the background (does stuff roll around etc)? Can you interact with these objects and move them? what happens when you put a really long-into-background piece of wood into the water?
@bcrichmark Alrite thanks. Sorry bout all the questions but I just have one more. Will the objects float in the background no matter what material or if there isn't a glitched floor underneath it will it just fall behind the original platform

@MantageManiac nope it wont float unless its made out of or has a part of a material that will let it float. when it falls it falls only as far as the orignal layers floor.
to put objects in the forground just reverse the prosess backlayer darkmater platform rethaer than front and the tool to emit start with them in the front thin layer first untill the last one that you need to pause and move to the back layer befoe it emits. just do the same thing i did in ithis video and revirse it for the forground. and yes you can do multy layered objects or at least the standered 3 layer i havent tryed for more. hope that helps
Hi Yes for some dumb reason you need to emit and capture the object again to get the glitch to work dont know why but thats the only way i have gotten it work. as to who is backscratch ? im not sure i just know he was the first person to present the glitch to lbp. so i assume he found or invented the glitch. ive tryed to friend request him but it seems he has reached the max amount of friends. thanks for asking.
@dany5426 I'm not sure, but I'm GUESSING you just do the entire emitter part but with the object that's got into the background already, and just keep the dark matter there until you're finished.

Lets hope Mm dont pacth it up then. :I

You want to create the glitch from scratch ask Backscratch. I just know how to use the tools created by him and wanted to help others who needed a little visual help to get them started.

I no another way to make this! Step 1: Take a 3D or 50 layer object. Step 2: Place the 3D or 50 layer object anywere. Step 3: Get an object like sponge or cardboard and done.

can you make the objects go even further than what you showed us? That is what I am trying to figure out.

Can you use this to put a checkpoint in the background and spawn back there?
Freaking awesome. Only problem with back layers glitch is that vehicles on the standard layers collide with them for no aparrent reason.
I get it..... thats sick. I looked this up after I saw a Mario Kart level and the background was all awesome and I was like I GOTTA HAVE THAT!!!

hey you know when u send something to the back layers its at the edge is their anyway to get object in between those layers from normal to back

@chiffmonkey They didnt for me. Try taking out the furthest back layer of your vehicle if needed. Should be fine. Mine don't collide.

You forget that they have access to the developer tools, so they don't use the 3D glitch. They simply bypass layer restrictions.
coool objects in the back seems like a whole lot of time though... i just use materials :P

no unfortunatly you cant put any moving objects using bolts , rods ect... nor check points. and you can only walk around in the three orignal layers.
