Short weekly updates are great. Always good to see a little bit of digging and lifting. If the water comes down the clay, over time it could erode a fair bit.
Wait..... I know this is absolutely impractical, but imagine how cool it would be - Every supporter gets a brick, and each brick is used to build the walls further. It'd be so cool to see all the supporters literally supporting the tunnel :D
@@LexsBudgetBunkerBuild Yea and thats great! Wonder if it'll work out. But I meant every single brick has a supporter name. Every single one. Also there's not much bricks can do better than a concrete+rebar slab, hence - impractical.
@@dimitar4y People have told me building an underground bunker is impractical but here we are LOL. The Bricks will be decorative so not totally impractical.
It's roughly 1 metre x 1.2 metre. Once I reach my target depth I plan on digging an initial 1 metre wide by 2 metre long tunnel and then widening it out to 2.2 metres and about 10 metres long. The tunnel will be concrete blocks filled with cement and rebar and a steel roof.

The "rock face" (clay face) is kinda fun to stare at. Actually a rare sight nowadays.

We'd all worry if you didn't update for a month. Good to see you're getting deeper. Rinse and repeat.. and then do it again.
Im fairly sure you need to be getting back to placing rebar and supporting the walls again, about ever 3 or 4ft.

Well I am experimenting making Bricks . . .

You are doing great Lex. Very impressed with your progress and perseverance. It is inspiring for your viewers.
Thanks mate - it's the most ambitious project I have ever attempted but I am really enjoying the journey and learning a lot along the way.
An inspiration to us all I love the placks to 🤙🏼🍻cheers friend
What is the current width? Are you going to make a wider space at the bottom? And how? (Columns on each corner of shaft and a slab roof above?)
