1970 is my favorite year of Chevelle. Has been since I was around 10 I guess. A guy in our neighborhood had a beautiful green one with the white stripes. I always stopped and stared as he would go by. Loved that sound. He still has the car today. :) He doesn't get it out as much, but I still stop and stare..and wave. Still looks new. This example here is way more custom than his but beautiful in it's own way. Love it. Thanks for sharing Scottie. Take care.
That cowl air cleaner first appeared, as an option, on the '66 Chevelle SS 396. My friend has a '67 Z/28 with this option. Alloway nails everything he builds. This is another example of perfection!
@@ScottieDTV This one is custom, based on the originals. Smokey Yunick, and junior Johnson used a similar design for their NASCAR applications, back in the early, and mid 60's.
They nailed it with the wheels and stance. This gen of Chevelle looks good from every angle. So sad that Detroit Autorama was cancelled this year. But we are glad other shows are keeping the passion going during difficult times. Thank you for keeping on bringing great contents to us Scottie👍☕️
Nice build on the Chevelle. The color combo of black and blue. Awesome all around. Did they offer you a ride Scottie? Long walk back home. Lol jk. Thanks again for sharing.
At 3:58 I see 8 plug wires and 1 coil wire coming out of what looks like a distributor on the front of the manifold where you would normally see a thermostat housing on a Chevy engine, small block or big block. I suppose it could be a fake distributor but that seems odd since there's no reason for it. It's not like a distributor is aesthetically pleasing. Anyway, I'm not critisizing, just didn't understand it. I love Chevelles and El Caminos, especially 1970 models. I read your description saying it was a 454LSX which is supposedly a dynamite engine. Cool video Sir.
Why do builders spend sooo much time making these cars awesome, then you get to that disgusting rear bumper and it completely ruins the whole look of the project. 70 chevelle is the best muscle car in history but has the absolute worst rear bumper of any muscle car, don’t know why builders don’t just put the 72 bumper on it and get rid of that ugly black blob.
Scottie, Bobby Alloway and the guys at Alloway’s knocked this Chevelle out of the park. The paint looks deep. Jerry Rice is going to love this car.
I hear ya Brother...He is very happy with the car!!

Sweet ride. But how is the distributor on the front of the engine?
It's not...See any wires?

Funny how that back door Clip sorta seemed like something is missing.
COOL! was there, so that can't be it.
lol...I could have used my traffic cop!!
Sure would have been nice to see it drive completely out of the building before you cut away
Thanks for checking the video out!!
