I've been using these with Cambridge AXA35. They compliment each other well, but I believe I could have more power to fill in the 220's. They do sound good however with the Cambridge. My biggest concern with the 220's is playing a wider variety of musical genres. They are very good with refined, well-rendered music. Voices are good, along with tones of different music like electronica. There are some weaknesses with realistically sounding instruments like horns etc.(middle character is somewhat thin). Piano sounds great along with tone left after a piano chord is struck. In other words, the 220's do very well with some things, but rock and older recorded music they're not so forgiving or cohesive. I am adding a subwoofer very soon to see if I can subtly improve their bottom end and lower tone. The verdict is still out with that since the speakers have a good signature alone.
Brilliant reviews 👍 Iv blown my Wharedale diamond tweeter's 9.0 And looking to replace, looking at your review I'm gonna get the tower speakers, and upgrade my bookshelf speakers also, can't wait. Iv a Jamo bass sub 200 And it's beautiful when set up correctly. Thanks
@@heavyhreviews2735 yes will do when money allows. Thanks for making up my mind, I know now what I want, iv been looking n got price from Richer sounds, but didn't know if should spend extra cash, but , got no doubts about it now. Upset neighborhood now but gonna destroy them when get all.lol
Which are better these W220 or the MA B1? Can get the W220 for £100 new and just need two speakers to play music without the need of a sub. What you suggest.v
One of the best review✊
You are just feeling it, loved your songs library too.
Going to buy these tomorrow itself, will surely update you after that.
Thank you very much. Hope you enjoy your new speakers 🔊

Apologies if this was mentioned, what amplifier are you using to drive these speakers? Many thanks
No problem dude. It is a marantz NR1608. Reasonable hard to find now but any amplifier with a warmer sound will work perfectly.
Are these better than the Bronze bookshelf B1 you reviewed in a previous video?
It's subjective but they are both fantastic
