I think the reason for so many negative comments is more unfortunate than Trey's behavior and laughter. From the beginning, he made his normal and appropriate comments while the song continued without stopping the video.
And this caused the audience to take a stand against him slowly but increasingly. On top of that, in the animal rights section, he remembered the animal rights video that only Americans knew but Turkish people did not know, and laughed. When this was added to the previous attitude, this was the result.
While watching this and I think many people watch this video, especially in places where there are serious and almost taboo topics such as women's rights, animal rights, suicide, nothing else comes to mind. When they saw Trey, this situation created a dislike for them.
The reason why this article is so long is that, as you said, I don't want any problems between the channel I watch fondly and us viewers because they react naturally.
I hope I was able to reflect our thoughts correctly and explain them to you. Take care of yourself, you are loved.
PS: I hope you did not get bored and read the whole article.
    ---
    ---
    ---

As an elderly person I want to share a few . I do believe that everybody has a right to like or dislike anything and more than that honest reactions are important. But I think there is a difference between being honest and being rude. A reaction (of course ) means without playing a role being natural. Agree with that. But while making a reaction video the most beautiful part should be paying attention to react. The problem was not being negative the problem was the reaction was not serious or giving any idea or any reason etc… In the begining of the song it is warning you we believe that music can change things, are you ready shall we begin. If you do not believe it ok. “I can not keep silent” is definitely not a song like “we are the world” it is not about someone making a song and people gather and sing it and it does not have any risk. It is about those rappers standing up, being courage, risking their lifestyles, risking their future, 18 different rappers writing their own part and bringing them all together. It is not the same all around the world. What happened about Ellis?
No reaction about the lyrics, about the voice quality, about the rhythm, nothing compared or mentioned or even stopped and thought for a second. Saying it again , the expectation is not you being pozitive . even if you don’t like you can explain your point of view. reaction with Trey was not like a reaction.

I get you that the song didn't get you. But man. Saying something like "well, it's ok, nothing special" is certainly shocking. Are there plenty of US rappers speaking global stuff in that range? Even US rap staples haven't done that. Have we have people put an effort to bring most of major nowadays problems to the wide audience, and u guys say "eh...meh...this is just ok". Nobody is asking you to act and fake the reaction. I just explaining why you got such a feedback. Because for anyone who respects rap and what it is about from the core, your reaction is smewhat incomprehensible. How many of US rappers talked about so much, so many different topics that actually matter in a single song? What about production and effort? Like in a part when a drunk guy is talking about curiosity is one of the thing that feed us? That DRUNK person usually tend to ask these kind of philosophical questions, while when you're sober, you just don't bother? How about matching lyrics, sense, and picture? If this doesn't feels impressive to you, then what does? 🤯🤔🤔🤔 NOONE ever has been covering so much, and you still react like it is something mediocre, hence you get a deserved backlash. Not saying you got to fake reaction - i just explain why people are fuming about it - you been just briefly listening, without ever trying to comprehend what's been brought to your attention, and then calling a masterpiece mediocre. This is an offence to any rap music fan, especially when tune is about as serious as it could be and you still make impermissible jokes and look like totally out of subject. I can understand that you might get somewhat biased because it is not in english and it is somewhat harder to dig it. But hey...english is not my native, yet i dig everything, all the subtitles, while also appreciating the rhyming patterns and flow, and wondering how well picture fits the lyrics. To wast majority of people it really seemed like you like in some detached place, while WAST majority of the problems guys are mentioning in video are present in US too.
Concept of rap is not just stacking on rhymes nicely, there are dozens of millions of rappers who can do that, it is not about talking about your hood or your personal struggles or feats, as it's been talked about for another 50 millions of times, and wast majority of people won't ever feel related to what the're trying to say. While this is essence of rap in every mean, and tune just puts majority of rap staples to shame, making them look like a kids playing gangstas in kindergarden, while there is a big world outside with global problems, just because they never bothered to look outside of their hood and all their carreers been rapping about the same shit, nobody cares about (apart from few people related?)
Maybe just because rap is not your genre and you can't feel it, you reacted in so incomprehensible way and got a backlash? Damn, they made a REALLY good translation, and they even put hashtags of every part meaning every problem they gonna talk about. Yet you seemed like you don't get the concept at all.
P.S. : thank you Brigdet for your reaction. Looked like you tried to dig the lyrics, which i largely appreciate. Lyrics are most important in this tune. But picture just compliments it quite well, building a better picture.

Hello Rey, i totally agree with you, so well said. I don't understand all this fuss either, those people I think are just looking for justification and get pissed off when they can't get any. Like you said, all the issues in the video are universal problems, normal that you don't get shocked at all, the only difference is, like I've said in a comment to another reaction of yours, is the cultural difference that determine the level of reaction by an American and a Turk, I think they just want you to react as a Turk would, which is nonsense cause it won't happen, I love both you and Bridget for your honest, sincere reactions, I look forward to your videos and very sorry that some people can put you off like this, please don't mind them, we Turks can be a bit too passionate and fixed when it comes to certain issues, in this case you can also see this as a bit of a cry out from Turkish people because, even if these problems are universal, things are really really bad here and the majority of Turkish people are really fed up with those issues, almost feeling like suffocating. Well again, please keep doing what you do and Bridget welcome back 🙂❤️

    Hey Bridget!
It is great to have you back on reactions. But I don't understand why Rey is pissed off. We want you both on reyactions. The thing is you guys started out your reyaction videos together and got us used to it. Then all of a sudden you Bridget are left out and substituted by Rey's buddy, Trey. Now this was something sudden and big of a change that your followers couldn't readily digest. Perhaps if you guys allowed us some more time we would adjust to this new situation and be okey with her substitute. That's all. Thus Rey should not get mad at us and Rey's buddy Trey should not take this matter personal. I think this was a natural reaction from your followers. Remember it is always hard to accept something new, something that you are not accustomed to. I hope I have been able to express my feelings about this matter. You guys do a great job together. Rey could have Trey back on camera once and a while as long as we get to see you together as a couple on your reyactions sometimes. So please no resentment. Come on guys keep up the good work. We love you.

Fair enough, good point and we'll said. I thought about that point you made about abrupt change, I myself am reluctant to accepting change all the time so I get your point. I was mad because people seemed to think I should react a certain way to #susamam. Everyone will react differently to different things. Several hateful comments that youtube held for review that not everyone saw, just rubbed me the wrong way. I consider it a learning experience. Thanks for your comment.

I think some people went way off beyond the limits of criticising a person with their ugly comments. I don't think Trey deserved that negative talking about him. This is your channel, Rey you can do whatever you want to do with it. All I am saying is you should not get a prejudice about us Turks by taking into consideration only a few people's disrespectful comments.
