The front speakers are wired in series with each other, not parallel. If they were in parallel the door panel speakers would continue to work when the tweeters were disconnected.
It's amazing how much they don't understand about how audio works. Its one of the reasons I would never buy their stuff. It's a 3 way component system. Would be great if they actually just came out with a 3way upgrade rather then this hack.
@@itninja9503Have you guys ever found a 3-Way component system upgrade? My 2008 Tundra Limited with the JBL system has blown speakers and tweeters in the doors, sails, and dash. Would cost a fortune to replace individually. Was thinking about putting 3 Way 2ohm 6X9s in the front doors and just disconnecting the sail and dash tweeters. Would that work? Thanks
Hello… two of my door speakers (passenger side front & rear door driver) have stopped working. Is there a fuse that I need to check or could it possibly be something behind the radio itself?
I want to replace my factory speakers in the rear door of my 2007 Tundra. I'm getting conflicting numbers on the size of the speaker. I'm told 5 1/4' , but your video said they re 6 1/2". Which is true?...thanks

See this is few years old - I'm old guys w/2008 Toyota Tundra Think the whole steroeo system sucks- back in the day I had some hot rods before all technology today we had to piece build systems w/out any help from design or computers but after enough money & time had very good all around sound power base etc- However although don't need some of what I hear today I'm still youthful for my age & looking for Good quality system that can crank reasonable for Good dollar value as this is a work truck- I would gladly pay for kit to achieve this or if you could list components I should purchase to accomplish decent sound system that will last- Thanks for any advice -jlo
Hi. I have a 2008 Crewmax. I went through Crutchfield and they helped quite a bit. All I have done so far is replace the head unit. Going to get subwoofer and amplifier, newer speakers.

Thanks
The point of plug and play is not having to run wires. Your amp should be just that. Plug into the existing harness
Agree! :) We have this available. Check out our other videos.
Series not parallel 🤦🏼♂️
