Thx for thorough procedure incl. ladder support idea as I am solo as well, but on my '91 (drivers side) the lower hinge is AGAIN problematic. The lower bushings don't stay in and the Dorman pin doesn't retain them so may have to try the pricier AM set as it has a horiz. pin to hold bushing in place. Door was so floppy it wore grooves in rocker panel.

Hawks Motorsports sells the lower hinge assembly.
