Red velvet has to different concepts the red one and the velvet one Red one is cute and refreshing Velvet is like spicy and scary hottie things, their vocal line is on point they have Wendy the main vocal she has such a strong high unique voice and they all talented group
chill kill basically means canon event that changes their lives which wendy killing their dad who is holding them captive and u see the girls fighting and struggling with his death joy even try to take the murder weapon the stone and turn themselves in but seulgi stops her which results in a fight but then they decided to leave and move on so they perform for their dead dad the dance that they made when they were held captive burn the house and leave but are caught and dance one last time
As for their vocals, they are rivaled only by one group from 3rd gen. Otherwise, it's all them. They're the ones. They definitely have those slightly weird vibes in a lot of their songs, both the poppy and more sultry songs. Speaking of which, you should check out the more Velvet-y stuff. "Automatic" is from their first mini-album. It's a smooth R&B joint. One of my absolute favorites. There's also a b-side called "Kingdom Come" that is THE R&B b-side of all b-sides. It's amazing. I gotta shout out my ult group though, Dreamcatcher. They blend rock with k-pop and other genres. It's a really interesting experience.
