It would be nice if you talked more about deductibles, covered expenses, etc
Will consider that since I had a few claims already now
Hey Mike great video! Would the safe wing insurance work for a shorter trip like 2 weeks for instance. I want to spend a week in El Salvador and a week in Antigua Guatemala
Hey LL - the Safety Wing insurance will work, but it's a monthly plan. The other option is to use a more short term company like World Nomads: www.worldnomads.com/row/travel-insurance
@@MikeSwigunski thanks so much, the long term options are still helpful because I still plan to travel the world as much as possible and to be a digital nomad but this will be my first trip out of the country and so I’m just visiting! Thanks so much for the information ♥️

very informative vid...thanks.
You’re very welcome 😊
Great video Mike, thanks for sharing your insights for insurance!
Short and straight to the point: I like your videos Mike. Take care.
Thanks so much, I really appreciate the feedback Matthieu!
@@MikeSwigunski Hey Mike, I was wondering something: would you mind sharing where you are located in Tbilisi? Vake? Saburtalo? I am looking for a rather green part of the town to locate. Thanks
@@t0umart0u we are based in Vera, which is my favorite arrea...but worth checking them all out to see where you like the most!
@@MikeSwigunski Thanks for sharing Mike, it looks great indeed, especially the Vera Park, and well situated (between Vake and Old Town).
@@MikeSwigunski Hi Mike, I have another question for you if you don't mind:
I wish to rent a house
- in a safe area
- with garden
- in a quiet part of the city
- somewhat close to the center for groceries, visiting etc.
Is it possible? do you have areas you would recommend for this kind of accomodation?

So what if you stay longer than a year? For example, you are travelling through europe and want to do your routine checks like dental. Doctor needs to do a filling ect.
Would Allianz or safetywing take care of that?
Or shoulder surgery due to a accident or what not?
Essentially safety-wing has two different plans, one for non-preventative types of health care and the other for health replacement that includes full coverage. Both work for multiple years.
Allianz also has multiple plans but pretty much all of them are extensive long term coverage.
My wife was ill in Mexico a few years ago. We had to pay out $11.000 out of pocket. My health insurance international branch reimbursed $7000, but we were still out $4000.
Oh no, I am sorry to hear that Andrew! Which insurance company was it?
@@MikeSwigunski It was BCBS. Happy that they paid some. Just wish that they would have covered up front. Glad that my wife recovered. Even though the vacation was ruined. 4 out of 6 days in the hospital, It rained most of the 5th day. Had to leave in the afternoon of the 6th day. Got a little sun in the morning before we left.
need to divorce
Spending 6-12 months in the same place doesn't sound so nomadic ;-) Staying in one place more than 6 months is usually enough to become a tax resident there, you better be careful with that.
6 months traveling still sounds pretty nomadic to me ;)
Well, if you go from places to places, then it is nomadic, but if you stay 6 months in the same city...:D
Safety Wing is full of Shite, I got this insurance after watching your video and when things went wrong they didn't want to know me. Avoid this insurance agency. You will just lose your money.
Filing any insurance claim is always a pain, I’ve had claims reimbursed with Safety Wing and didn’t have any issues compared to other insurance companies I’ve used, it’s on par. If you find a better agency for the price…let me know?
