Sensational the best capella album in half a century. I am transported back to Christmas 1974 -7 as a five year old with our wonderful family Christmas meals, candles and this on the Beng and Olufsen music centre - bring back the best parts of the early mid seventies from design, oneness with nature, creativity, arts and beautiful music like this. This should be on CD.
This Capella album is for me by far one of the very best in the last half century and certainly the best thing Swingle II / Swingle Singers ever did including the 1960s Jazz Bach. I am immediately transported to childhood Christmasses 1974-77 where we had this on at magical family candlelit meals in our lovely house in the woods underneath of ancient pollarded guardian oak tree. Why is this not on CD ???? Who do we lobby to make it happen ?
What a charming image! If any masters still exist that a CD could be made from, they'd be owned by Sony Music, as Columbia Masterworks recordings are now under the Sony Classical label.
I can't believe I finally found it. The songs from this Album are used in an German audiobook from 1980 called "Rotes Blut und weißer Käse" which translates to "Red blood and white cheese" in the "Professor Dr. Dr. Augustus van Dusen" series - a real charming Whodunit. I can't get these songs out of my head and now I'm finally able to listen to the full versions. Thanks a lot!

Are you out of your mind or just really limited in your taste in music? This may not be the absolute best Swingle Singers album but try to appreciate their skill if nothing else. Open up to a greater variety of music. It will enrich and improve your soul.
