I can play this an octave up on the alto recorder. The only unfortunate thing is the high F#, which is a difficult note on the alto. On most recorders the only way to get it is by stopping the bell with your knee, which is really rather awkward. Other than that the piece works nicely!

manuel con todo respeto creo que no conoces ni sabes tocar clarinete, el instrumento tiene un mayor alcanze en ambos sentidos y el vibrato es una cuestión interpretativa, aquí lo que importa es con cual instrumento te identificas y agrada más saludos

I have this actual piece and the music says andante ma non troppo (it’s in French) and this basically mean walking speed. So the tempo is up to you if you want to play it. But I think they played it at 77

... esta muy rápida.... justamente la idea de esta obra es que sea expresiva de manera que se noten los pequeños cambios de tiempo que da la obra y que le dan un carácter emocional... sumale a esto las limitaciones del instrumento y su imposibilidad de hacer el vibrato ... me quedo con la versión de saxo alto!!
con todo respeto pero debo insistir esta muy rápida... (que no es una cuestión menor) y hace que se escuche poco expresiva y cuadrada (y no es la indicación que dice el autor) ... respecto al segundo aspecto cuando uno aborda un repertorio de otro instrumento tiene que tener claro las limitaciones del propias debido a que pierde el sentido de lo que se va tocar. El clarinete tiene tanto virtudes como limitaciones como cualquier instrumento (igual que el saxo) esto no lo hace malo como instrumento sino que se debe entender desde ese lugar. Teniendo en cuenta esto el vibrato en una pieza como esta es fundamental para que suene bien (que además es una de las virtudes del saxo) en esta no se nota el vibrato (ademas que esta rápido y no tiene ni tiempo de hacerlo y en el clarinete no se desborda el vibrato como en el saxo). Entonces para abordar una pieza como esta tienes que tener en cuenta estos aspectos para no salirte del sentido de la obra. Creo que para esto no necesito ser clarinetista sino simplemente saber de repertorio que se toca y entender un poco la estetica de la música me parece que debes informarte un poco antes de hacer estas afirmaciones... saludos !!
The sheet music is not for sax. The sheet music is in the key of C because this is the piano player's part and the piano is in the key of C. The clarinet player's part will be transposed to Bb. Clarinet is in Bb. Also, alto sax is in Eb and this sheet music is absolutely NOT in Eb. Also, this sounds NOTHING like a sax....

Esta muy bello, deecho tengo un solo para la escuela, estoy asiendo vibrato, no es tan dificil pero hay que tener cuidado de no sobrehacerlo

its more melodic on the clarinet with a beautiful tone, but on sax its just a little more colorful.
