that lamp is so neat! i always end up twisting my thumb or doing it separately to make sure it cures properly so this looks like it would be super useful. and i totally get it with the rhinestones, i can't stop myself from adding extra glittery elements either lol
I definitely like both being close up and set back. Close up for when you're doing small details and set back to see your work station when there's more going on there. I also appreciate you talking a little bit more about your hard gel this time, bc I just got some ibd hard gel to do a protective base layer, as my nails have gotten Uber thin! Lol
From a safety perspective, although sleek, this lamp really doesn’t seem like it has enough beads in the right positions to provide the intensity of light needed to fully cure a set, especially the sides. Highly recommend a lamp with 24+ beads in a dome shape and a reflective bottom.

seems like the polish shrinks a lot from the cuticle before curing. One tip i learned from my nail teacher is to apply first a layer of a nude or beige polish from the same brand and then apply the colour on top, this helps with the shrinking and prevents flooding :)

I use toothpicks for cleaning up the area next to the cuticle. I like how precise they are and that they are disposable. For slightly bigger mess you can buy those toothpicks with tiny amount of cotton. But for very precise work the "naked" toothpick is the best.

I've been researching it a lot and it's a higher risk of developing skin damage or cancer from not wearing sunscreen when you go outside vs using UV LED nail lamps repeatedly 😭 I mean if the sun, the very thing keeping us alive is also killing us slowly, idk how worried I am about the nail lamp tbh 😂

Been watching your videos for a while now, but I've seen something that might appeal to you 😍 alongside doing your hard gel layer on your nails, I saw another nail creator do something super cool so she could do more videos without damaging her nails constantly, so she had her hard gel layer, on top of that she had some gel peel off base coat, then did her nails for videos on top of that, then pops them off easily without doing through all the hassle of removing the conventional way, just thought I'd recommend it to someone as when I watched it, I was thinking it was genius! ❤

Awww I hope you're doing ok and getting better cutie! ❤ the main difference is that instead of sticking your entire hand into the lamp, this one concentrates the light just on your finger tips, leaving the rest of your hand outside of the lamp (I hope that makes sense!)

Nice lamp but personally I like the bigger lamps. Having to constantly swing the door back and forth between hands would get annoying especially because I change my sets so often. The thumb idea is wonderful though
Super cute! I love some of the melody Susie products- specifically their white gel polish- it’s nice and opaque and I often use it as a liner to do art because it has nice creamy solid coverage it’s almost interchangeable with my Dvok vanta white 🤭

I love the four way magnet that does different things. My favorite it making the cat eye French with it. Honestly, that’s the only thing I’ve done with it so far. lol😂 It does do other things though. I got mine on SHEIN. Also, I do the same thing with stickers. I paint my nails with cat eye and do stickers on every finger. With the French cat eye, I can put stickers behind the cat eye so I can still see the magnetized particles. ❤

Okay so ur hard gel base layer u don’t do a slip and then the bead? U go straight to the layer of it? I struggle with my builder gel I always end up too thick in places I don’t want it to be hmm thanks for the tip
you can also do a slip if it helps you, but I would make it suuuuuper thin (like I did for the base layer). If I wasn't just doing a fill of the hard gel that was already on my nails, I would probably do a slip layer 💗

I feel that!! I honestly am at a point where i change up the length so often that I can live with no nails on one hand and xxl on the other and I don't even notice 😭❤️❤️❤️
All the lamps are UV. There is no "mostly LED and some UV". LED is source of the light, while UV is the wavelength spectrum. This misnomer originates from the fact that previous UV lamps had special UV lightbulbs, and when LED lamps became more populat people were using the "LED" part of the name to distinguish them from old lamps. LED is not "kind of light", it is tge source. The difference is that old lamps emitted different wavelength from the UV spectrum, the LEDs can be more finetuned to emit less harmful spectrum. Still... the amount of UV that you get from the lamp is miniscule compared to what you get from normal outside activities. And if you would be really so skin sensitive (certain skin condition, UV sensitivity due to meds, cancer itd), then I would assume you would not risk any exposure and not do nails. Far bigger risk is coming from uncured product, it can be caused by too short cure time, too low power, but most importantly by bad light distribution. That is why good lamps have light source on different angles, light interior(bounces off light) and reflective bottom. So for me this product is a gimmick that tries to capitalise on fear mongering... but it can be actually harmful due to the fact that the leds are shining from one angle (so the sides of the nail can end up in partial shade)

What is the best way to clean your brushes
I usually use alcohol in between colors, but you can also use a brush cleaner! I use the one from Vettsy ❤️

Okay so ur hard gel base layer u don’t do a slip and then the bead? U go straight to the layer of it? I struggle with my builder gel I always end up too thick in places I don’t want it to be hmm thanks for the tip
you can also do a slip if it helps you, but I would make it suuuuuper thin (like I did for the base layer). If I wasn't just doing a fill of the hard gel that was already on my nails, I would probably do a slip layer 💗

All the lamps are UV. There is no "mostly LED and some UV". LED is source of the light, while UV is the wavelength spectrum. This misnomer originates from the fact that previous UV lamps had special UV lightbulbs, and when LED lamps became more populat people were using the "LED" part of the name to distinguish them from old lamps. LED is not "kind of light", it is tge source. The difference is that old lamps emitted different wavelength from the UV spectrum, the LEDs can be more finetuned to emit less harmful spectrum. Still... the amount of UV that you get from the lamp is miniscule compared to what you get from normal outside activities. And if you would be really so skin sensitive (certain skin condition, UV sensitivity due to meds, cancer itd), then I would assume you would not risk any exposure and not do nails.
Far bigger risk is coming from uncured product, it can be caused by too short cure time, too low power, but most importantly by bad light distribution. That is why good lamps have light source on different angles, light interior(bounces off light) and reflective bottom.
So for me this product is a gimmick that tries to capitalise on fear mongering... but it can be actually harmful due to the fact that the leds are shining from one angle (so the sides of the nail can end up in partial shade)
