I seriously love how King and Purple’s arcs were sort of parallel to each other. Purple wanting to be good enough for an absent parent and finding a father figure in King, whilst King in trying to destroy the thing that made him lose a son led him to finding someone who reminds him of his son and he actually kind of had some affection for. Plus the fact they both get a moment to reflect on the people they hurt on the way to achieve their goals. I couldn’t stop crying when King ran up to Purple and hugged him. I loved this episode so much!

I like how, for both purple's and king's "redemptions", they both had to realize and come to terms with what they did. Purple kept being a bad friend and a liar, even after the other characters were kind and forgiving to them in each episode, but they only truly changed when the problem was adressed. Amazing storytelling and great message! :)
The best animation I have ever seen on RUclips. The use of 3D, the lore and the incredible effort in every detail, the backgrounds, the accuracy to very niche parts of Minecraft such as commands and the amount of emotion, excitement and just pure effort put into this makes it a perfect send-off to such an iconic series. EDIT: IT IS NOT THE END OF AvM, JUST THE SEASON FINALE. To another great season!

One of my favourite parts of these videos is that Alan acknowledges this a lot and whenever DJ says he liked something that wasn't Alan he's like "Oh yeah, that was one of my animators, it's brilliant" Or like "This scene was a lot of work for this person, they did a wonderful job"
It was so shocking to see DJ act like that, when the first time I watched this I cried at the death scene for Kid/Gold, and when I rewatched it I cried at King and Purple hugging.
We all appreciate how Alan tells the story without any lines of dialogue or any facial expressions, but DJ with his names and phrases actually nails it lol
5:01 I absolutely agree with this. The greatest villain, in my opinion, is one that you at least in some way truly sympathize with and hope victory for. This is why I prefer in most cases 'protagonist versus antagonist' to 'hero versus villain'. Those seem like the same thing, but with the former there's no obvious 'right' side, which I think requires a lot more storytelling talent and is also a lot more interesting.
I agree with this a lot. I admit I’ve come to appreciate “villains” who end up learning from defeat and being accepted as they try to change, but this is true, too. I love antagonists that sprouted from rough upbringings because that’s human. It’s just they’ve gotten out of hand. How to have the heroes show them the right way while still sympathizing for them is a delicate balance for the writer to deal with. And if they do it right, like Alan and his team did, then it’s great storytelling.
The part where purple was struggling through the beam was cool, but the reprise of purple's theme was incredibly powerful, whereas it was originally for purple explaining their need for a parent, this is what finally got them there, and what reminded both of them why they were doing what they were doing.

i think one of the most amazing parts of this is how perfectly you've made all the elements of this episode tie in with the past. this entire season has felt like a movie, in a way, because it's so perfectly woven in with itself. the way you use previous animation effects, scenes, and music cues is one of the best i've seen. the music from note block universe plays when green reaches out to purple. red getting reposessed, the scene parallels when king orange is reliving his past trauma. obviously you guys joke around a lot during this commentary, but this did honest to god make me cry while watching it. the storytelling is perfect. the idea that king orange, in an effort to save his dead son, couldn't see the damage he did to people around him... the realization as he watches, even. i've never seen a better villain backstory, and i mean that for real. alan has directed one of the best animations i've seen on youtube. and don't let anyone forget all the people who worked on this, too. a monumental project for everyone involved. i hope you guys had a pizza party after this.

I find it really insane how all of that chaos started from blue searching for some nether warts and led them to almost 2 hours worth of action packed of animation, then at the end, we saw him earn all of the nether wart he's been looking for, incredible animation!
just finished watching the live premiere on the main channel, man that was insane, cant imagine how long this took alan and the rest of the team to make, a million hats off to you all, your work did not go unnoticed.
Lets be honest, all of us would miss this series like alot, its been like 7 years since stick figure vs minecraft was out and the way it keeps growing until now makes me proud for being here from the very beginning but all party must have its end so here it is.
No I think he’s either gonna work on season four or bring back AVA. In the Alan’s friends server he mentioned that AVM characters could return for AVA 👀
Something I really liked was red using his headband, it gave red his own unique style of fighting, similar to the fishing rods but not quite the same. I kinda hope he gets something similar or something else to differentiate his fighting style from TSC, because “beast master” doesn’t really translate well to most situations. Yellow’s redstone comes with TNT, blue uses his bow and crossbow, green utilizes his fishing rod the most, but red and TSC in most situations fight the same way, with the exception of when red had the staff, but the headband gives red something unique.
It amazes me how you guys managed to make such a thing, and how many people can be brought together to create something like this. Seeing all the known and unknown names in the credits, such as Oxob, Hatena, Skim, etc. taking a part in this animation, its just beautiful to me. And to think that this all started 16 years ago from a guy with adobe flash who pretended there was a hostile stick figure living in his computer
So this confirms that the King lost his SON this whole time. My first assumption was that they were brothers, so hearing it from your perspective makes this all the more tragic. Unfortunately, some companies (a.k.a "game developers") stole some series of this masterpiece by using them as advertisements to deceive the people about the reality of their game. The worst part is that they don't accredit Alan and the crew who made this legendary series.

I was rooting for both sides, honestly. Yes, the king had his reason to hate the Minecraft world, but it was only at the end that he realized he was doing to others what happened to himself. I am glad he decided to "adopt" Purple as his new son.
He’s what you get when you combine comedy, good taste and -NOT KNOWING WHAT SUGAR CANE IS FFS- a small pinch of Minecraft knowledge and show it a super emotional scene
Everything that I got from the last few episodes... purple was all alone, and knowing where the crew was, was willing to help someone to prove to himself that he was strong. This made purple look to the king as his father, whom he tried to prove something to. But in the end, he was betrayed again, thus making him feel alone in the world. The king, haunted by his past of losing his own son only knew what he was doing after purple was on the point of getting whisked way like his own son, and jumped after purple Eventually, when everything was back to normal, the crew hugs purple, showing that green wasn't lying about them bieng forgiving.
Now that peace has been restored in the AvM universe, I wonder what's in store for the next season. Well, Alan already has been doing "actual shorts" for AvM before ep 30, so he can continue doing that. There's also a possibility that AvA comes back and the stick figures tell the whole story to Alan.

Alan, started as a youtuber giving animating tips to young animators like me, those tips helped alot btw, but his form of storytelling is a masterpiece, he has a strong emotional way of telling one, like you made me tear up while watching this, this story proves you can make someone cry with just one story that may seem silly? If i can call it silly, we all know we cant judge a book by its cover, the lore putten in this story is good, its interesting but simple, as im writing this long fricking essay, you inspire me to be like an animator like you alan, and i think some young animators out there are inspired by you as well.
i find it funny that king orange goes through the trouble of getting a command block by getting it off of someone like its a illegal item, while the others just find it by grabbing the game and pushing really hard in one direction
I love how it connects with all of the previous shorts and even the episode which started the series. Like the way it comes full circle with Herobrine possessing Red again is just like awesome. Also love how this whole season started with Blue wanting more nether wart, and love how you, Alan, paid homage to that with the end feast.
The story telling in this series has been absolutely incredible. God, never before have I been so connected to a story where all of it takes place without speaking. Or ever.
First time I was watching thjs I was practically crying over King Orange's son. Watching through with DJ reacting, I was just dying of laughter. I don't understand how he makes the saddest moments the most hilarious.
I watched this with my best friend right after watching The King, and I wanted to point out how even though this episode was darker than the rest of the series and had its fair share of emotional moments, DJ still was able to make me laugh. I don’t know what it is, but DJ can somehow create happiness in the darkest times, and that’s pretty cool.
I have never seen a stickman animation this great. The effects, the emotions able to be displayed despite having no face, the comedy (lmao), the hard work and items displayed uniquely (in a good way) makes this definitely number one on my youtube video list. Thank you so much Alan, for this great animation series that killed my boredom, and brought the creativity out of me! I wonder who the next villain is in the next season is 🤔
Maybe the team would make a new villain, or possibly a character from the past(like the red guy with the virus(sorry, i dont remember the names) or the black one)
I honestly didn't believe that we could have this kind of quality in animation on RUclips. Alan and his team proves me wrong in every new video where fights, story and visuals are even more epic than the last one. Also, what "short movie" DJ??? The whole season 3 is like 2 hours long!!!

It’s great to recognize Alan for what he’s done alone in the past, but to also recognize the team he had behind him, otherwise, we wouldn’t have this animation done in such a timely manor. 7-8 months? This was beyond amazing. Script, backgrounds, animation, effects story, it's all so great. This and Animator vs Animation 5 are by far the most well produced ones.

Has anybody mentioned, how the video Alan and his team made had way less people credited than the oh so big Hollywood movies? Sure, the realism and CGI plays a big part in those but still, Alan's dedication and that of his team are TOP!

Yellow’s redstone comes with TNT, blue uses his bow and crossbow, green utilizes his fishing rod the most, but red and TSC in most situations fight the same way, with the exception of when red had the staff, but the headband gives red something unique.
It amazes me how you guys managed to make such a thing, and how many people can be brought together to create something like this. Seeing all the known and unknown names in the credits, such as Oxob, Hatena, Skim, etc. taking a part in this animation, its just beautiful to me.
And to think that this all started 16 years ago from a guy with adobe flash who pretended there was a hostile stick figure living in his computer

So this confirms that the King lost his SON this whole time. My first assumption was that they were brothers, so hearing it from your perspective makes this all the more tragic. Also, DJ's commentary is so hilarious. I love it. "I have become the Minecraft!!!! Wait... I have become the Minecraft..."

I did't know someone that makes videos for fun while using a college laptop to this WITHOUT ANY TALKING can make my day or week thank you, Alan Becker for this I'm glad that a company will not steal this masterpiece.
Unfortunately, some companies (a.k.a "game developers") stole some series of this masterpiece by using them as advertisements to deceive the people about the reality of their game. The worst part is that they don't accredit Alan and the crew who made this legendary series.

He’s what you get when you combine comedy, good taste and -NOT KNOWING WHAT SUGAR CANE IS FFS- a small pinch of Minecraft knowledge and show it a super emotional scene
Everything that I got from the last few episodes... purple was all alone, and knowing where the crew was, was willing to help someone to prove to himself that he was strong.
This made purple look to the king as his father, whom he tried to prove something to. But in the end, he was betrayed again, thus making him feel alone in the world.
The king, haunted by his past of losing his own son only knew what he was doing after purple was on the point of getting whisked way like his own son, and jumped after purple
Eventually, when everything was back to normal, the crew hugs purple, showing that green wasn't lying about them bieng forgiving.

Alan, started as a youtuber giving animating tips to young animators like me, those tips helped alot btw, but his form of storytelling is a masterpiece, he has a strong emotional way of telling one, like you made me tear up while watching this, this story proves you can make someone cry with just one story that may seem silly? If i can call it silly, we all know we cant judge a book by its cover, the lore putten in this story is good, its interesting but simple, as im writing this long fricking essay, you inspire me to be like an animator like you alan, and i think some young animators out there are inspired by you as well.

i find it funny that king orange goes through the trouble of getting a command block by getting it off of someone like its a illegal item, while the others just find it by grabbing the game and pushing really hard in one direction
I love how it connects with all of the previous shorts and even the episode which started the series. Like the way it comes full circle with Herobrine possessing Red again is just like awesome. Also love how this whole season started with Blue wanting more nether wart, and love how you, Alan, paid homage to that with the end feast.
The story telling in this series has been absolutely incredible. God, never before have I been so connected to a story where all of it takes place without speaking. Or ever.

First time I was watching thjs I was practically crying over King Orange's son. Watching through with DJ reacting, I was just dying of laughter. I don't understand how he makes the saddest moments the most hilarious.
I watched this with my best friend right after watching The King, and I wanted to point out how even though this episode was darker than the rest of the series and had its fair share of emotional moments, DJ still was able to make me laugh. I don’t know what it is, but DJ can somehow create happiness in the darkest times, and that’s pretty cool.

Just a really long break
I have never seen a stickman animation this great. The effects, the emotions able to be displayed despite having no face, the comedy (lmao), the hard work and items displayed uniquely (in a good way) makes this definitely number one on my youtube video list. Thank you so much Alan, for this great animation series that killed my boredom, and brought the creativity out of me!

It’s great to recognize Alan for what he’s done alone in the past, but to also recognize the team he had behind him, otherwise, we wouldn’t have this animation done in such a timely manor. 7-8 months?
