When you travel in the mountains and northern areas specifically to far flung areas like mastuj and Booni.. you need to well equipped : AT Tyers is must on all vehicles. Tow Chains / Jumper cables/ first aid kits/ basic medicines/ antibiotics/ Air pump/ recovery rope Winch if possible. Tier repair kit. Tool kits Spares: oil / Air / fuel filters and a set of engine oil per vehicle. Three vehicle belts because if you brake one you won’t find it there. You can get mechanics near by but not usable parts beyond GIlgit.. take two extra 20 liter fuel tanks . Emergency dry rations and plenty of drinking water. Put a roof top box for all these extras instead of a carrier. Traveling in SUV with 4x4 is a must.

I and my friends did this trip twice, once in 1997 and again in 2008 from Islamabad to GIlgit and from GIlgit to Shandoor top crossing over to Chitral and back to Islamabad . Each trip was done in about 15-18 days. Caught lots of big brown and Rainbow trouts along the way.. the best catch were at Handrab lake all were record sizes and 10-20 a day. Had natural wild trout for breakfast lunch and dinner. Those were the days of plenty of trout.. literally in every nala along the rout.
Amazing vlog...ascend from sor laspur to shandur is really challenging. I think you can guide a bit about that and which vehicles can come there. Anyhow great job
