Marie-Annick Lépine - “Les étoiles filantes” (6/14/24)

When hearing of the unfortunate passing of lead vocalist Karl Tremblay last fall, our hearts sank with the realisation that our chances of ever experiencing live music from popular Québecois folk-bluegrass band Les Cowboys Fringants in person had too diminished. Karl’s partner and bandmate Marie-Annick Lépine helped open the festivities on The Bell Stage at Francos de Montréal, and with help from the original band plus Catherine Durand and Mara Tremblay, performed a handful of ‘Cowboys’ tunes including this version of “Les étoiles filantes.” Emotions were high at this time in the crowd.
