Love your work guys, but just a thought: you spend 15 minutes on a how-to video and when you get to the money shot of the finished project, you are rapid-cutting, jumping around, push-ins... take a breath. Gives us a long, wide still shot and let us appreciate the work as if we were standing there. I think a lot of folks would appreciate it.

Been watching and dreaming of my own project for years, finally had enough inspiration and confidence to give it a try thanks to you your tips and pointers. The budget only allowed for a DIY job, and it's taking a fair bit longer than anything you all would do, but I'm really hopeful that it'll turn out great thanks in large part to you. Huge Thank You!

Auto water fill is a godsend…I built them into my water features I’m all about automation. I just didn’t understand why the swimming pools at my apartment buildings didn’t have it; that yes I many of times flooded the courtyards and had to suck the water out of the pool with a garden hose.

Wish I could hire you. My house had been one of the models back in 1988. For some reason, smack in the middle of our back yard, is a gigantic drain. The yard is shaped like a bowl, so that all water/rain drains into the grate & soil erodes towards the middle of the yard & down the drain. Which means nothing much besides weeds really survives in ground, as we can’t keep the soil hydrated. Not to mention that over 30 years people have laid down several weed fabric/soil layers so that the native soil in some places is 10-12 inches below the top soil level. It’s so rotten from never getting air, that you can smell it once you hit the native clay. Dirt should never smell like a rotten carcass, but mine does! A few trees are growing along the highest part of the perimeter, w/their root systems becoming more & more shallow each year, as soil erodes. It’s a freaking mess 5 ways from Sunday. & we can’t remove the drain. The best scenario would be a large water feature, w/raised terraced berms for ornamental plantings that would compliment my existing raised vegetable beds. But, if we had that kinda money, a pool w/tree removal would be a better investment, since we live in HOT central CA. The topography is just too janky to tackle a water feature landscape DIY. So, I’ll just drool over everyone else’s & fantasize about your beautiful ponds, streams & waterfalls. If you ever wanna do a HUGE challenge for a viral RUclips mini series, hit me up 🤣

The fill valve is CRUCIAL! I installed two fountains and the stacked slate wall in particular was going through a tremendous amount of waster loss running 24/7. This lasted two days until my fill valves came in. I tied into my irrigation line and it's so nice not having to check the water level or fill up the basins for 20 minutes every 2-3 days.

So as long as that spillway or the land behind that Spillway is higher than the spillway you can just set it down in a pool so it rises up and goes over the first Spillway Rock. That's good information because I used to always try and disguise that front black portion but now I can sit in the pool and put a rock on top or maybe a skimmer lid. Again as long as that land/dirt and liner behind it is higher than the spillway.

love your guys work, but some of the fiming of the completed feature needs improvement, we got a brief glimpse of the whole thing , then lots of shots of individual falls, would be nice for amateurs trying to make the water features natural if we could get longer shots of the overall view , then we could note rock placement properly, cheers
